Home Spiders: Features of Breeding

Spiders are considered exotic animals, which have become fashionable in recent years to contain at home. Caring for the octopus does not require significant costs, as home spiders are quite unpretentious. For room breeding it is necessary to acquire individuals that were bred in captivity, the best tarantulas, because their poison is low in toxicity and they are calm.

In nature, spiders live in burrows, on trees and on land, so for their maintenance it will be necessary to create an environment identical to their habitat. Dimensions of the terrarium should be two and a half times the size of the legs of the animal. Since house spiders tend to eat each other, they should be kept separate and combined only for mating. The terrarium must have a lid, as its inhabitants can crawl, and the glass for them is not an obstacle.

Spiders in conditions of captivity feed on various species of cockroaches, flour worms, zofobas larvae or crickets. They can not be given human food, this can lead to the death of the pet. For the same reason, the size of the pieces of food should not exceed the length of the animal's body.

Home spiders are not at all prone to training, and at danger without conscience bite the owner, which is fraught with allergies and inflammations. Therefore, you should try not to take them in your hands, and to manipulate the terrarium use a long tweezers.

To care for spiders, you need to imagine what is humidity, temperature, spotlight and feeding. The popularity of these exotic animals is growing because of their undemanding conditions for living and leaving. However, in order to ensure the normal existence of a spider, several rules must be observed.

First, the temperature in the terrarium must be at least 25 degrees, for this it is appropriate to use a thermostat, which will create a constant regime. If the spider is full, it is dangerous to lower the temperature, because the processes of decay can begin in its stomach. Young individuals should be kept at a temperature of at least 30 degrees, this will ensure their rapid growth. It is necessary to take into account the fact that elevated temperature promotes the acceleration of metabolism. The intensive growth of the spider creates the prerequisites for his earlier death.

Spiders in the house require maintaining a special level of humidity. At low values of this indicator, problems with moulting begin, and for tropical pets this is fraught with death. Thus, for spiders living in desert areas, the humidity should not be above 75 percent, and for tropical individuals the optimum, on the contrary, is not lower than this parameter. Adult animals can almost do without moisture for almost a month. However, it is better to put a bath in the terrarium filled with water or moistened with moss.

Home spiders do not need additional lighting. You can use a light source and as a heater, for this, the lamp power should not exceed 25 volts. To follow the behavior of animals, you can use light red, spiders can not see it.

However, in addition to pets, spiders can appear in the apartment, which in some way can also be called domestic, but which do not bring joy to the owners. Many want to get rid of such uninvited guests. To do this, it is necessary first of all to find the nests of animals that are located in the corners, in the cracks of the floor, under the plinth and other secluded places.

Spiders home can enter the house through the window or ventilation. To prevent this, it is necessary to pull a dense mesh. To destroy spiders, various chemical preparations are used, for example, Butoks 50, Neoron or folk remedies (vinegar) and other methods of struggle.
