Before, technical education was very popular and very prestigious. Many young people dreamed of becoming scientists, engineers, researchers. It would seem that in our age of rapid development of technology the trend should have been preserved, but due to the peculiarities of the historical period of the 1990s this popularity came to naught. This is due, first of all, to the fact that in those years science did not receive adequate funding and fell into decay, and the entrants had to stop their choice in more profitable specialties. While the private sector of the economy, as well as the legal services market, was particularly booming, so most of the graduates rushed there. Now the situation is somewhat different, and technical specialties are beginning to be used deservedly by entrants. Of course, in general, demand has increased for specialties in the field of information technology, but also machine building also in the past few years have become somewhat more popular compared to previous years. Traditionally, one of the most sought-after faculties in technical universities has always been ACS and CBC, even in the worst years for admission they often needed to score the highest score, but now the competitions there are generally prohibitive.

In connection with the rapid development of high technologies, many experts predict that in the next few years the most demanded specialties will be technical, not only related to information technology, but also engineering, as well as technological and engineering. Accordingly, a professional technical education should become very popular among applicants.

But are educational institutions ready for this? Will universities be able to provide technical education at the proper level in all the required specialties? At the moment, no. The task of providing technical education at a decent level should become a priority for the state, since the prestige in the world largely depends on how high the technology is developed in the country. Already now it is becoming prestigious again, and, perhaps, today's students will become remarkable teachers in a few years, who possess modern knowledge and do not want to go abroad with them. In addition, in production in connection with the growing demand for cadres with technical education, their salaries are increasing, and therefore technical specialties are again becoming popular. Already today it is much easier to get a job with a well- paid job , having not an economic but a technical education, because there are too many economists and people with technical specialties do not have enough.

If such a trend continues, and, most likely, it will, in the next few years we will see the flowering of technical education. I would like to especially hope for the help of the state in this area, because without it it will be very difficult to cope with the situation. Naturally, it is necessary to ensure adequate financing, as well as to reform the training of professionals in many universities, according to the current situation, and then the prospects are very bright, especially since the social, economic and historical prerequisites for this are obvious.
