Goldfish: Species

A family of goldfish - this species is known to everyone, since it is the most common. These fins have slightly elongated fins, the body in form represents something intermediate between short-bodied and long-bodied species. Goldfish, the varieties of which have sufficient endurance and are estimated fairly inexpensively, can have a red, red-gold or red-white color.

Veylekhvost or riukin

Goldfish, the species of which belong to this group, have an ovoid shape of the body, long fins that have a color, but because of their fineness it is almost not noticeable. The eyes of the fish are slightly enlarged, the caudal fin, which hangs in the veil, sometimes exceeds the length of the body. The full flowering comes to four years.

Telescope

Also fairly common fish that do not need special care and are relatively inexpensive. They have an ovoid body, slightly swollen. All fins are slightly elongated. The main difference of this breed is the big eyes. When buying, be sure to pay attention that they are the same size and placed symmetrically. Goldfish, whose types refer to telescopes, can have quite a variety of colors: cotton prints, orange, bright red, black, but the most valuable of them are calico and black telescopes.

Orand

The orand has a swollen, ovoid body. The size and shape of the fins is almost the same as that of the valeleighs, but the heads are slightly larger. The older the oranda, the more appear on their heads accretions. The variety of colors of these fish is quite large: chocolate, calico, red-white, red, black. Very popular is the subspecies of the Tancho due to its original red caps. Their body is pure white, and the growth on the head is colored bright red. Often, goldfish, whose species do not belong to the orange, are sold under their "name." These individuals have a red spot on their head, but this is just a stain, outgrowths - there is no red cap. These fish belong to the subspecies of the probos, which is a degenerate descendant of thoroughbred fishes. Many consider orand as the most attractive branch of the selection of goldfish, so it is not surprising that orans are the most expensive and desired fish.

Lionhead or ranch

Goldfish, whose species belong to this group, have a practically round body. Some of the species do not have a dorsal fin, the others are round and short. Lionheads on the head grow very massive growths, because of what they take almost square shape. In this case, the growths always contrast in color with the body. In Asia, these fish are considered the top of breeding and, accordingly, are the most expensive.

Celestial Eye (stargazer)

These goldfish can be found in two variations: long-bodied and short-billed. They do not have dorsal fins. The color is mostly golden red. A distinctive feature of these fish are the eyes. They are just as large as telescopes and point vertically upwards. These waterfowl are compulsory settlers in ponds of parks in Buddhist monasteries.

Water eyes or shuignon

In shape, these fish are very much like a heavenly eye, but under their eyes they have bags filled with liquid and absolutely transparent. A good specimen of such a goldfish can be determined by the size of these bags - they are equal to almost a quarter of the body. Like the heavenly eye, water eyes should be kept in conditions that exclude eye injuries. There are individuals whose blisters under the eyes have different sizes. This is not considered to be a marriage, but the cost of such fish is usually reduced. At the same time, the sizes of bags become the same with age, and if they are damaged, they are restored, however, very carefully, it is necessary to transplant these fish, paying special attention to the eyes. Varieties of color stains are identical to oranges.
