How to save on food? Key points of cost reduction

Unfortunately, when our country entered the era of developing capitalism, very many were at the bottom or even below the poverty line. Pensioners, medical workers, teachers. Therefore, the question of how to save on food, for many of us is far from idle, but very urgent. First of all, it is worthwhile to think over which articles will help reduce expenses in our family budget.

Much depends on what useful skills we have. For example, if someone in the family can sew, this can help reduce clothing costs. From improvised materials, you can make not only objects of interior, but also furniture. Thus, you do not have to buy an expensive set, but things made by yourself, please much more. And then the question of how to save the family budget, disappears. You can also reduce the cost of utilities: for example, put counters everywhere, monitor the timely shutdown of light and electrical appliances, buy irons, kettles and other household appliances with low energy consumption.

If, nevertheless, the question of how to calculate the family budget, enough to the next salary, remains, you can think about other ways of saving. For example, in Russia fuel is relatively cheap, but here in the West (for example, in France, Germany) it is unprofitable to travel everywhere by car because of the high cost. There it is accepted to use public transport more often or Transplanted to bicycles. And for health it is more useful, and for a purse.

Often, puzzling over how to save on food, we do not see any obvious solutions. The first advice that can be given is: try to make your life easier. Do not chase after culinary delights, firstly, it's troublesome and long (well, unless someone likes to stand for hours at the stove or mess around in the kitchen), secondly, it's not too useful. Analyzing your diet, you can understand how to save on food: for example, to switch to more simple dishes. For example, you can not make a meatloaf stuffed with prunes, or a complex cake, which will require a lot of whipped cream, candied fruits, eggs, condensed milk and so on. Instead, you can boil the meat and serve with vegetables. And for dessert make a simple cookie. In fact, the body does not need and even harmful complex dishes, and energy for life and proper development can be obtained from the simplest products.

The second advice is to think about how much money is spent on "empty calories" and "for pleasure." Take a simple example: if we care about how to save on food, instead of a large package of chips, it is better to buy a packet (4 servings) of buckwheat. One package of cereals is enough for a garnish for two people. To the porridge you can serve fried vegetables (or even better boiled: faster and cheaper, and do not spend on fat or oil for frying), boiled meat or a little white cheese (such as Adyghe or feta). In general, all frying, especially deep-frying, is best minimized: first, a very large amount of oil is consumed, and secondly, roasting is much more harmful for digestion and health. It is better to cook on the grill without fat.

The third tip is to prepare several dishes from one product. Do you think that this is impossible? And here you are mistaken. For example, a kilogram of chicken entirely costs less than a kilo of fillet or ham. In this case, we will make one dish from the fillet, and if you buy a chicken carcass, you can make a very tasty soup on the broth, and use meat for another dish, for example for salad. Also, try to abandon semi-finished products and ready-made meals in favor of self-cooking. Shish kebab, already marinated, will cost more than meat for shish kebab and independent pickling, besides, you will have the opportunity to see the freshness of the product.

Well, the last tip. Pay attention to the prices. In fact, in large stores, the lack of price tags is not only an oversight of the staff. This is designed to ensure that the buyer will not figure out the price, but simply put the product that he likes in the basket. And only then at the checkout it turns out that you have to pay a little more than we planned. Products of different manufacturers are often characterized not only and not so much by quality as by price. The latter depends on how much the given manufacturer spends on advertising, promo-actions, the corresponding position on the shelf and other means of promotion. For all this, the buyer ultimately pays. Pay attention to the fact that the same goods can be about twenty to thirty percent more expensive in a shopping center than in a shop around the corner, where, of course, the choice is more modest, but there is also an extra charge.
