Frigidity is a disease?

Frigidity is, in other words, sexual coldness, which is a decrease or a complete absence of sexual attraction, orgasm and specific sexual sensations in women. In some cases, frigidity may be accompanied by unpleasant sensations or in general total aversion to sexual intercourse.

For 40% of women, frigidity is a very serious problem, which manifests itself in a variety of forms. Some women avoid sex because of unpleasant sensations, others may experience weak pleasant sensations, but they do not get an orgasm at all. Frigidity is a condition that manifests itself periodically or permanently. The correct diagnosis can be made only by a sexologist after a woman undergoes a thorough examination of such specialists as a gynecologist, endocrinologist, psychologist, etc. All this will help to identify the physiological causes of frigidity and underlying psychological factors.

Frigidity: symptoms

The main symptom is the lack of desire to have sexual intercourse, as well as the absence of manifestations of various sexual reactions.

As a rule, frigidity is a condition caused by several reasons, divided into somatic, psychological and social ones. They can be accompanied by depression, mental breakdowns and psychosis.

In addition, frigidity first of all manifests itself in increased shyness, suspiciousness, indecisiveness, a tendency to loop on negative emotions.

Very often frigidity can be caused by mental trauma associated with pain during defloration, when attempting to rape. A woman may have a fear of becoming pregnant or afraid of publicizing relationships. The lack of orgasm also causes psychological trauma and is one of the main causes of frigidity. And often a woman does not get an orgasm because of a nervous system disorder. The nervous impulse when excited does not reach the right part of the brain and, accordingly, there is no contraction of the muscles and the orgasm itself. In some cases, the impulse breaks down due to constant experiences and fears that cause a certain kind of psychological closure.

In addition to psychological, there are also physiological causes of frigidity, expressed, as a rule, in the defeat of certain parts of the brain, dysfunction of the ovaries. Very often physiological frigidity causes gynecological and venereal diseases, beriberi, a very strong physical or mental fatigue. In some cases, the occurrence of frigidity is associated with congenital abnormalities of genital organs and inflammatory diseases.

After considering all the factors, a natural question arises: how to cure frigidity? This disease, like any other requires treatment. When detecting physiological disorders, it is necessary to eliminate them with the help of a prescribed treatment course. Basically, the course of treatment is rather long, and very often they are simultaneously treated by both sex partners. The range of methods used is quite wide: from acupuncture and physiotherapy to medical and psychological methods.

In the treatment it is very important to have a personal communication between the patient and the attending physician. There must be full trust in the specialist and a sincere desire to be cured. During the treatment, various simulators can be used: with their help it is possible to accurately determine the ability of a woman to own her body, in particular, to relax at the right time the muscles of the vagina. All these skills will help her to later come to a normal psychological state during sexual intercourse.

Thus, it is very important for any woman to be cured of frigidity in a timely manner. After all, everyone knows that an unstable and inferior sex life has a very negative effect on the woman's body and can lead to various kinds of somatic diseases.
