Formation is an independent socio-economic structure

Each stage of social development brings its own characteristics. So, on the basis of changes in the sphere of the economy, a concept such as a formation has appeared.

Thus, the formation is a certain period inherent in a particular stage. It has its own unique structure, views and beliefs. Despite the certainty of this term, it is often confused with a similar word-civilization. Despite some commonality, the formation and civilization have different directions.

Speaking about the formation, a special place should be given to the economic sphere, and in the matter of civilization the sphere of cultural life plays a big role. As for the generality of these concepts, it consists in the fact that each term is directly connected with the society and plays an important role in determining its laws.

To consider the term "formation" is not necessary at one particular stage of the existence of mankind, but in the system of their changes. Thus, it is possible to distinguish the formation of the ancient Greeks or, for example, the formation relating to the life of the descendants of people who conquered Australia. They are considered to be economically optimal for that time, but as for their cultures, they are completely different and are not included in any comparison. Therefore, here we can also say that the formation and civilization are different concepts that change in time and in their own way influence the life of the society.

Also, the formation is a system of classifications, each of which has a connection with the main forces acting on development. It is believed that changes in formations are associated with changes in both natural and socio-political conditions, and a significant role in this matter is the improvement of material and production capabilities.

In this connection, the term formation is to some extent the same as the economic formation. In different sources, these concepts are used in different ways. Sometimes they are considered absolute synonyms, and sometimes they say that the formation is the social and economic structure of a concrete society in a broad sense, while the economic formation has a narrower focus and specifies economic development.

It should be noted that both the formation and civilization belong to dynamic processes. That is, they are constantly evolving, but in spite of this, they may collapse, or even completely degrade. There is an opinion that such variability creates a constant threat to all mankind. And on the basis of these conclusions, it becomes obvious that the strengthened structures of civilizations and formations create more stable conditions for all mankind. But since progress is inevitable, it remains only to support the development of these systems and not let them go beyond the bounds of the reasonable.

The connection between these two important concepts is obvious, but for a deeper study it is necessary to consider both the formation and the civilization separately. With this state of affairs, one can identify in each of them a mass of individual characteristics and find commonalities. It was on the basis of these subtleties that it was noted that the formation deals more with the structure inherent in society, and civilization with the mechanisms of formation and development.
