Ford Orion: technical specifications of the once popular American sedan

In the early 80-ies in the light came out a car, like "Ford Orion." It was in some measure an unexpected novelty, as at that time there were mostly hatchbacks. And finally, the two most powerful aggregates. Each of them had a volume of 1.8 liters. And the power was equal to 105 and 130 horsepower, respectively. The maximum speed reached 187 and 195 km / h. Moreover, for the speedometer needle to reach 100 km / h, these machines needed 10-11 seconds to accelerate.

What do the owners say about this car? Different opinions exist. Some people praise, assuring that this is a sound, budget machine with good handling and spacious interior. And the others scold. They say, after so many years after the release of the machine "sypetsya." And Ford Orion spare parts are not cheap. Only to replace the steering rack, $ 300 (with installation) is required.

But at one time it was a very good car. Not without reason for all the years of issue more than 3,500,000 copies were produced.
