Fixing penokpaksa to penokpleksu and to other surfaces

Penoplex is an innovative heat-insulating material. It does not have hygroscopicity, it is resistant to various temperatures, fire and climatic influences. The insulation material is also used as soundproofing. It does not contain toxic substances.

How to glue sheets of a penoplex with each other

The modern market for building materials is replete with different models of penoplex. The sheets differ in the thickness of the stiffness and density. When there is a fixation of a penoplex to a penoplex, these characteristics are taken into account.

In this case, the appropriate adhesive composition is selected. Fastening penokpleksa to penokleksu is carried out by means of any type of glue. An important nuance in the selection of glue is the absence of acetone and gasoline in the composition.

Fastening of a penoplex to a penokleksu can be made by means of a special solution. It is prepared with a gravity mixer or a drill with a variable speed indicator. In this case, use a capping head.

The prepared solution should be used within 2 hours after preparation.

The fixation of the penopolix to the penokleks assumes the distance between the sheets is not more than 2 mm. In the case of gaps, they are filled with strips of insulation or foam for installation.

Wall mounting

Fastening the foam to the wall of concrete creates a difficulty due to low adhesion of the thermal insulation material. Increase the strength of installation works allows the use of glue and dowels.

Mounting penokleksa to the wall involves a preliminary cleaning of the latter. Remove dust and dirt from the walls. Those places that are affected by the fungus should be treated with a special antiseptic. Unevenness and cracks are covered with putty.

Before use, the surface should be primed.

Fastening of plasterboard

GVL (gipsovoloknisty sheet) - this is all known drywall, which is widely used for repair.

Mounting GWL to penokleksu is carried out in two ways. It can be glued, and also strengthened by installing a frame made of metal or wood. The frame of wood should be several centimeters behind the wall. The space between the slats is filled with sheets of penoplex. Slots between the plates of the thermal insulation material are closed by means of a foam for installation. Then drywall is attached to the wooden blocks.

Warming through a penoplex and plasterboard is a fairly common method used on loggias, balconies, in basements and garages. The sheets of penoplex covered with plasterboard should not be used in high premises (the height of the walls is more than 2.5 m). The frame must be firmly stitched.

Fastening gypsum cardboard to a penokleksu through dowels is the best solution. With a low wall height, glue fixing is an acceptable option.

How to fix penokleks to a grid

How to strengthen the mesh on penoplex? If we rely on the main requirement of heat-insulation systems, then the use of metal fastening elements is not recommended, since the resulting cold bridges will reduce all efforts to zero. So where is the way out? How is the mesh fastened to the foam pen, if the metal is unacceptable?

If the heat-shielding layer is mounted on a surface where there is no movement of the structure, then the mesh is fastened to the heat-insulating material by means of an adhesive mass. It should be drowned in the glue or applied a second coat.

If fastening is carried out in places where there will be movement, then it is recommended to use dowels or thermal panels covered with polymer cement.

The reinforced layer is created as follows:

  • On the surface of a sheet of a penopolix with a width of 1 m, a uniform layer of glue is applied by means of a notched trowel.
  • The reinforced material should be applied to a fresh layer of glue and drown using a smooth spatula.
  • Before fixing the insulation on the opening, it is necessary to glue the facade mesh by wrapping it behind the wall by 15 cm.
  • On the glued mesh the sheets of penoplex are fastened so that they protrude from the wall for the thickness of the thermal insulation material. Also add an additional 3 mm (reinforcement thickness).
  • Under the sheets of penokleksa put the laths of wood. They create an expanding suture.
  • Grid for plaster is glued to penokleks (always wrap around the corner and glue it at 15 cm behind the wall).
  • External corners of construction and slopes are recommended to be fixed by means of perforated aluminum profile .
  • Before applying the plaster, it is necessary to scrape the corners for smooth application of the plaster mass.

Tile fastening

Penoplex and tiles complement each other. The tile ensures the safety of the penopolis from destruction, and the penoplex itself is the density of the tile. The tile is attached to the penokleksu by glue. The best choice is the adhesive of Ceresit CM117.

The recipe for the preparation of the glue is printed on the label. The thickness of the adhesive layer should not be more than indicated in the annotation. Glue from the bottom corner of the surface.

Before you fix the tile to the foam, the surface should be prepared. For this purpose, a reinforcing mesh is taken, as well as a special mixture for plaster on the penokleks.

The plaster is thoroughly mixed. The mixture is applied to sheets of penoplex by means of a spatula.

Then follows the reinforcement. The grid is recessed in the glue. The layer, pressed into the net, is trimmed with a spatula. Layer for alignment is not required. It will be enough that which is available. The main thing is that this layer is trimmed to the tile.

Tile glue is selected taking into account the texture of the exterior finish. For example, glue firm Ceresit CM-17.

How penokleks are attached to the plinth

The basement of the house is located under the ground. It is strongly influenced by natural factors. If the base is insulated, you provide protection against destruction and deformation. As a heater, foam foam is the best. This material has its advantages. After all, it perfectly withstands temperature changes. It does not absorb water. If there is no moisture in the material, then there is nothing to freeze and damage the plinth. Fastening of the penopolix to the plinth is quite easy.

Before applying the adhesive layer, the surface should be primed. This will ensure adhesion. The plates of the penoplex are fixed tightly. The gap between them should be minimal. Undoubtedly, the use of only adhesive for fastening is not enough, since in this case the process of finishing the plinth or decorative stone is heavier.

Together with the tiles to the foam, you can attach a reinforcing mesh on the basis of plastic, fiberglass or metal. You can use an inexpensive mesh made of metal.

After the foam has been fixed, allow the adhesive to dry completely.

The surface of the heat-insulating material is primed together with the reinforcing mesh. Then the main layer of plaster is applied. After it has dried, the surface is primed again. Then finish the finish or put the materials for finishing.

How to attach a foam to the ceiling

Fastening of a penoplex to a ceiling can be carried out by two methods: glue or dowels. Often during installation, both methods are used.

In the first case, the adhesive is applied by means of a notched trowel. The sheet is pressed against the ceiling. In the second case, a dowel with a plastic cap is driven into a pre-prepared hole. It is necessary to achieve a dense entry of the dowel into the surface of the insulation.

On one sheet of a penoplex with standard dimensions of 120x60 cm, two dowels will be required. Slots on the joints are sealed with a mounting foam.

Then a vapor barrier material is applied . It is fastened by means of self-tapping screws or with double-sided tape. This provides thermal protection of the room, as well as reliable sound insulation.

After the final laying of the penoplex, proceed to finish the ceiling.

How to fix a foam to the floor

For high-quality thermal insulation of the floor by means of a penoplex, sheets of grade 35 should be used. Warming can be made quickly enough.

For work you will need:

  • Sheets of penopolx;
  • Material for waterproofing;
  • Cement mixture;
  • level;
  • Mixture for screed.

The concrete floor is checked for defects. All irregularities should be eliminated. Cracks and potholes are cemented. If the basis of the floor is an ordinary ground, then it is covered with rubble and sand, and then rammed and poured with concrete. At the final drying of the surface proceed to the insulation of the floor.

The floor is covered with a film for waterproofing. Adjacent pieces of film are lapped and attached by adhesive tape.

Then the penoplex is fixed to the floor. Sheets fit tightly. Work begins at the corner of the room.

In places where pipes or risers will come out, the foam is cut out. Then a special mixture is prepared for the screed. Penoplex is poured in a layer of 5 cm. On a dry screed, you can put any covering for the floor.

How to attach a foam to a vertical foundation

This method is applicable both in the construction of the basement and in the buildings already erected. It is necessary to dig out the foundation to the depth of its laying.

The foundation is cleaned of dirt and leveled by cement.

Further, the glue for penopolix is diluted. If the basement foundation is not equal to the evenness, then the warming material can be put deeper.

On the stove, the glue is applied with dots. Then the penoplex is fastened to the foundation. Each next plate is attached when the mounting groove is aligned.

In the case of fixing several layers of heat-insulating material, it is arranged in a staggered manner. The second layer is attached to the same glue using a similar technology.

How to insulate the foundation on the basis of plates

The work is carried out in the following order:

  • A platform for the foundation is marked out and the top layer of the soil is removed to the depth that is provided by the project. The bottom is made even. The last 30 cm are removed by hand. The prepared platform is filled with sand and compacted. Temporary formwork is being made and a concrete base is being prepared. Reinforcement of the substrate is not required.
  • After the concrete has solidified, it is packed with foam foam. The mounting groove is aligned. The sheets are fastened without gaps. A thick film of cellophane is applied to the penopolx. Joints of strips are glued by means of an adhesive tape. The film serves in waterproofing. It prevents the penetration of concrete mass through the joints of the penopolix.
  • Formwork, reinforcement and foundation casting are made from slabs. After the foundation has solidified, the formwork is removed. The foundation is subjected to additional thermal insulation. Penoplex is placed on the side walls.

The sole of the strip foundation is insulated by the same method

Isolation

Fastening of the isolon to the foam is carried out by means of mounting foam or liquid nails. The result is the same.

Double-sided scotch will not provide proper strength. Liquid nails are the best option, since penokleks belongs to the category of porous materials.

It is also possible to use a mechanical method. If there are wooden constructions under the sheets of penoplex, you can use the press washers (self-tapping screws with a large head).

If the foundation is concrete or brick, then resort to the use of dowels, which are attached to the wall, passing through the layer of penokleksa. However, this method has less efficiency, since each screw or dowel creates a bridge of cold in the layer of heat-insulating material.

How to fasten a crate to a pen-pad

The basis of the crate is made of wood or a profile made of aluminum, which corresponds to the thickness of the insulation material. Fastening of the crate to the penoplex involves adapting sheets of heat-insulating material to the cells of the crate. This makes the work easier. To this end, you should fix the beams at a distance that is less than the width of the sheet by 2 cm. When the frame of the bar is made, proceed with thermal insulation.

The slabs are cut to length. The glue is applied to the back surface of the sheet. Penoplex is inserted into the cells of the crate. All gaps are closed by means of a mounting foam. Extra pieces are cut off.

Over the penokleksa glued reinforcing mesh on a fiberglass basis. Then proceed to finish finishing.
