Dropsy testis in men

Dropsy testicles are a special condition, in which the so-called vaginalis of the scrotum is filled with serous fluid. The cause of this development is most often congenital malformation or a strong inflammatory disease. This fluid often fills the spermatic cord and is collected directly in the scrotum.

Dropsy testicle is divided into three main groups. First of all, it is a communicating or congenital dropsy. It is a filling of the peritoneal fluid of the testicle as a result of incomplete emergence of the process of the peritoneum. In addition, an inguinal oblique hernia may form in this situation. The second group is another type of dropsy called non-communicating. In this case, the process, which has already been said above, does not completely overgrow, but does not communicate directly with the abdominal cavity.

The third type of dropsy is called a variant of the spermatic cord. Here it is a question of not enlarging the vaginal process, when its distal end is closed.
In adult men, dropsy may occur several times. The first case is considered the consequence of any trauma, radiation therapy or infection. A testicle can become chronic if the fluid accumulates regularly as a result of a strong infection. More than one percent of all men now face this problem.

According to statistics, eighty percent of all boys born have a vaginal process. However, in most cases it grows to a year and a half. There is some correlation between the age and the number of cases of similar pathology. For example, congenital edema of the testicle is manifested in boys at the age of two. If we talk about a chronic disease, it is most often characteristic of men, whose age is more than forty years.

If your child has a dropsy of the testicle, the consequences of this pathology will depend on the treatment. The earlier it is found, the easier it is to cope with relapses in the future. In general, in most cases, dropsy occurs without visible symptoms, changes and ailments. The severity of this pathology can be determined only by a specialist. It is not easy to do this, but it is absolutely necessary. Symptoms of this type of dropsy include an increase in the size of the scrotum. In this case, no pains a man does not experience even when touched by the area of inflammation. There may be pulling sensations of bursting and heaviness, discomfort. If edema of the testicle is accompanied by severe pain, this indicates a serious infectious complication. The size of the testicle affected by dropsy varies and varies. It all depends on the situation.

Dropsy testicles are most often bilateral. In order to be convinced of the presence of such a disease, it is necessary to undergo ultrasound examination. Ultrasound with great accuracy will confirm the presence of this diagnosis or its absence. If there was a dropsy of the testicle, the treatment involves surgical intervention. Only a delicate and correct execution of this type of operation will save the man from the problem. Hospitalization of the patient is not required, and the entire operation is performed under local anesthesia. However, there are situations when general anesthesia is required . Depending on the condition of the testicle, the size of the dropsy, the specialist chooses the appropriate type of operation. As for the tests before the surgery, their man can pass absolutely in any laboratory or his clinic. The cost of this kind of treatment depends on many factors, first of all, on the situation itself. Most often, prices vary between twenty and forty thousand rubles. It is necessary to treat dropsy of the testicle, in order to avoid serious complications in the future.
