Other means are not suitable. So, how to take shellac at home?

The first method:

  1. Preliminary on the skin around the nails cause oil for the cuticle and carefully rub it. Surplus is removed with a cotton disc or napkin. Cuticle oil will protect the skin from the action of acetone.
  2. Acetone is filled with an empty vessel. The height from the bottom of the tank to the top level of acetone is about 1.25 cm.
  3. Before removing shellac at home, you need to put your hands in acetone, folding your fingers together. Take care that your nails are in your sight. Acetone is harmful to the skin, it dehydrates it severely. Therefore, as much as possible of the skin is immersed in acetone. The procedure lasts about 10 minutes, even if the varnish starts to peel off earlier.
  4. 10 minutes later, shellac is removed from the nails with a wooden stick. The stick is placed near the base of the nail and moves it upward, tearing and removing shellac. Repeating these movements, they achieve complete removal of the coating from each nail.
  5. You can begin detaching shellac a little earlier, without taking your fingers out of the tank with acetone.
  6. After removing the coating, wash hands with warm water, using soap. When washing, remove the remaining varnish and acetone.
  7. At the final stage, the nourishing cream, oil for nails and cuticles are applied to the hands.

The second method:

  1. Before removing shellac at home, cut the wadded disks and foil sheet with small squares, which coincide with the sizes of the nail plates of each finger. Aluminum foil is prepared 10 squares with a side of 7.6 cm or more. Instead of discs, small cotton balls are sometimes used. In this case, you should make sure that the size of the foil is enough to fix them on the nail.
  2. Cuticle oil is rubbed into the skin around each nail to protect the skin from drying out.
  3. Disks or balls of cotton wool are poured with acetone and put on nails.
  4. Each nail is wrapped with foil. At the same time, the cotton square should be firmly fixed, which should not interfere with blood circulation in the fingers at the same time. The heat retained by the aluminum foil enhances the action of acetone or liquid to remove varnish. Pressing on the nail, make sure in the contact of acetone with each of them.
  5. After 2-10 minutes, detachment of shellac begins, and the cotton nails are removed from the nails. With longer contact with the nail, cotton wool dries, and getting rid of the coating will be more difficult. And how to remove shellac at home with adherent cotton without the additional effort?
  6. Shellac with nails removed with the help of an orange stick. The wand is moved from the base of the nail up. These movements are repeated until the coating is completely removed from each nail. The remains of shellac are removed with a cotton disc with acetone.
