DK "Metallurg" (Samara) - an islet of culture on the working edge

Samara is a large industrial center, on the territory of which there are many production giants. One of them is the Samara Metallurgical Plant, which once created around the company a real town with its infrastructure for employees. The plant owned not only a housing stock, but also a sanatorium, a kitchen factory, a park and the Palace of Culture, built in 1959.

DK "Metallurg" (Samara): location

With the collapse of the Soviet Union, the plant repeatedly changed its name and owners, and its institutions were privatized. Today, the Palace of Culture is a private property. It is located on the square bearing the name of P. Mochalov, the first director of a metallurgical plant, built in 1951. The address of the institution is Metallurgov Avenue, 75.

Description

The two-story building was built according to the project of I. Matveev and impresses with its splendor under external minimalism. The facade is decorated with columns and three sculptural compositions in the style of Soviet times. The main beauty inside is expensive furniture, luxurious front staircases, crystal chandeliers.

Modern acoustics makes the main hall attractive for festivals and concerts. At the same time the Metallurg Palace of Culture (Samara) is able to accommodate 820 people both in the stalls and on the balconies - central and two side. At the service of spectators are soft chairs of high comfort with a considerable distance between the rows.

Additional rooms

DK Metallurg (Samara) has four additional halls, one of which is made for the palace interior (central), and the other three are conference facilities located on both floors of the building. Their capacity is from 75 to 150 people. There is a marble foyer, and dance classes allow choreographic classes to be held on the palace grounds. Mugs and sections - one of the main lines of activity of the recreation center "Metallurg" (Samara).

Exhibition activity

Given the remoteness of the working margin from the city center, on the territory of the palace exhibitions are often held in specially designated areas up to 220 square meters. More often than not, these are exhibitions selling consumer goods under a contract with manufacturers. Here you can buy useful things for health, outer clothing, fabrics, planting material for cottages. When Samartsev is waiting for the next exhibition? DK "Metallurg" (Samara) since April 11 is holding a traditional fair of seedlings. Children are looking forward to an exhibition of cats, which is also traditional for the townspeople.
