Diseases of the nervous system

It is the nervous system that is responsible for the interconnection and operation of all organs and systems of our body. It unites the central nervous and peripheral system. Note that the peripheral includes those nerves that move away from the spinal cord and brain, and the central one - the spinal cord and the brain itself. There is also an autonomic nervous system.

Diseases are numerous and varied. Diversity is primarily due to the fact that the system under consideration is branched, and each part of it is unique in its own way. Diseases of the central nervous system have a harmful effect on all organs of our body. Problems can arise very serious.

There are several types of diseases under consideration:

- infectious;

- vascular;

- chronic progressive;

- traumatic pathologies;

- hereditary.

Most often there are vascular diseases. By the way, they are considered the most dangerous. In some cases, they lead to disability or even death of the patient. This group includes circulatory disorders, called strokes, cerebrovascular insufficiency, and so on. Similar diseases of the nervous system develop due to atherosclerosis or hypertension. To their most common symptoms include headaches, vomiting, nausea, impaired motor activity, decreased sensitivity.

Infectious diseases of the nervous system can develop due to the impact of various viruses, parasites or fungi. It is worth noting that these deviations occur infrequently. As an example of these diseases can be called lesions in measles, malaria and so on.

Chronic progressive diseases in this case can arise due to pathogenic effects of infections, abnormal structure of the nervous system, problems with metabolic processes or intoxication of the body. As an example, you can call myasthenia gravis, sclerosis. In most cases, the lesion is systemic. The disease itself can last a very long time. At the same time, signs appear and develop slowly.

Hereditary diseases of the nervous system, in turn, are divided into genomic and chromosomal. The most famous chromosomal disease is Down's disease. In this case, one can observe pathologies in the muscular system. Signs include violations of the device of the motor apparatus, violations of the endocrine system, dementia.

Traumatic diseases of the nervous system occur after damage to the body, bruises, squeezing the brain and spinal cord. The most striking example - a concussion. Symptoms are loss of consciousness, nausea and vomiting. Loss of orientation in space, memory, and so on.

Why there are diseases of the nervous system

From what has been said above, we can conclude that people often fall ill because of infectious agents. These include fungi, bacteria, viruses.

Many infectious diseases are transmitted in the utero. They are transmitted, of course, during pregnancy. The peripheral nervous system also affects infections.

In principle, due to a bruise of the brain or spinal cord, almost any disease can develop, and not only those that are attributed to traumatic.

It is worth noting that the state of our nervous system is adversely affected by the wrong way of life, the constant hassle, poor nutrition, the lack of necessary minerals and vitamins. The most common diseases from nerves occur in those people who are constantly in an excited state, and rest very rarely. Remember that rest to any of us is simply necessary.
