Of course, it's easier to work with the latter, but any variant will do for the samples, the main thing is that the glue should not be thick and lay flat on the surface evenly.

In order for the product to be sealed, it is necessary to cover the motif with several layers of polyurethane or acrylic lacquer, due to which decoupage on wood will become more resistant. All the necessary details, which the needlewoman wants to complete the resulting drawing, can be finished with acrylic paints.

In addition, with the help of decoupage, it is possible to artificially age the surfaces, impart a golden shabby coating or a grid of small cracks, cover the surface with shiny or matt lacquers, achieving the desired effect.
