Navy Day: the date of the holiday

Sailors have always been considered courageous and persistent people: they can deal with any problem. Every year we remember the best sons of the Motherland on the day of the Navy. The date of its celebration does not fall on the same number, as it is celebrated on the last Sunday of the second summer month. History of appearance

In 1939, the first day of the Navy was approved. The official holiday was on July 24. In 1980, the decree ruled that the Russians would celebrate the solemn date on the last Sunday of July. Back in Soviet times, everyone considered it his duty to congratulate the sailors. They were given cards, gifts.

Today, on the day of the sailor, congratulations are heard from colleagues, relatives, relatives and even the president. Everyone remembers the glory of the navy, courageous and brave warriors, despite the shortage of ships and submarines.

Celebration

Day of the Navy, the date of which is known to every Russian, is celebrated on a grand scale. In the cities there are parades, concerts, sales, performances, competitions. Higher ranks make speeches where they thank the soldiers for their numerous feats and for their service. Shops sell special souvenirs, and in the evenings the city dwellers enjoy a salute. On warships, "open days" are held, each person can enter and present souvenirs to sailors. Decent officers receive promotion on the day of the Navy, this date is associated with the awards.

The Russian Navy

The fleet began to form under Peter I in 1696, when they adopted the first decree on sea vessels. In 106 years, the Ministry of Naval Forces was organized, which existed until 1917. In the mid-30s of the twentieth century, the USSR fleet included air defense units, coastal defense, and naval aviation. Now the water units are:

• Ships and boats - 200 units;
• Cruisers - 6 units;
• Destroyers - 8 units;
• Anti-submarine ships - 10 units;
• Submarines - 68 units.

Recently, there have been additional modern ships and submarines with the latest weapons. It is planned to expand the composition of ships to 2020, as well as to introduce modern technical achievements. On the day of the Russian Navy, whose date falls on the hot month of July, it is customary to take pictures with the sailors. In newspapers and magazines appear photos of ships, submarines from the exercises. The fleet today is underwater, naval forces, naval aviation, coast guard troops , special-purpose units, rear services. Strategic objects:

On the day of the Navy 2013, the date of which was July 28, awards were given to the composition, concerts, parades, meetings. Especially solemn celebrations took place in the cities and bases where our flotilla is concentrated.
