Which country has the flag - green, white, red?

White, green and red are extremely popular colors used for state symbols on almost all continents. What value can this combination acquire?

Kuwait

This cloth has been used since 1961, when the country gained independence from the British Empire. The colors that make up the flag are green, white, red and black. The first three are arranged in horizontal, equal-sized stripes along a rectangle, the length of which refers to the width as two to one, and the latter is located at the shaft, forming a trapezoid. Each color has a meaning: white symbolizes the desire for peace, black reminds of past battles and their sacrifices, red refers to the blood shed for sovereignty, and the green personifies peaceful pastures. The flag can be used both on land and at sea, and disrespectful attitude towards it is considered a crime. The image of the canvas is also present on the coat of arms, which is a disk engulfed by the wings of a golden falcon. On it is painted a ship, over which the flag flutters. Green, white, red stripes and black trapezoid do not make a mistake - this is the standard of Kuwait. Above the ship the sky is depicted, and under it - the waves of the Persian Gulf. On the chest of the falcon is also depicted a heraldic shield, repeating the colors of the flag and their order.

Maldives

The state flag, green, white, red on which all the panels occupy, was created at the beginning of the twentieth century, when representatives of the Ottoman Empire began to exert their influence on this territory. They added a crescent moon to the symbol, first it was directed to the shaft, and then it was turned in the opposite direction. So it looks like a modern symbol. The length refers to the width in a proportion of three to two. In the center of the red cloth is a green rectangle, on which a white crescent is depicted. The color of the foundation is a tribute to the memory of the fallen heroes, who chose death for the freedom of the motherland instead of security. The green rectangle recalls the endless number of palm trees on the islands, and the crescent is an indication of the state religion - Islam. The colors that the flag uses - green, white, red, - are used in other elements of the symbolism. On the emblem with the image of a palm two cloths were used at once.

Suriname

Another country, whose state flag is green, white, red, unites, is located in South America. The cloth of Suriname is made in the classical quadrangular form, with a length related to the width, like three to two. According to the law, it can be used by both official and civilians, at sea and on land. So what does the Suriname flag look like? Green, white, red horizontally arranged unequal bands. On the edges - wider green. Further narrow strips, they are white. Finally, in the center is a red band. It shows a large yellow star with five rays. Green is a symbol of the fertile lands of the state, white recalls the desire of residents for freedom, and the red - about their desire to create a progressive society. The golden star serves as a sign of the unification of different peoples in one state.

Algeria

The flag of this republic has been used since 1962, when the country gained independence from France. The cloth with proportions three to two is vertically divided into two parts, at the shaft - green, and at the free edge - white. In the center is a crescent with a five-pointed star, they are made in red. Green color symbolizes the main religion of the country, Islam. White is associated with purity of thoughts and belief in the future, and red also embodies the Muslim belief postulates.
