Decoration from vegetables and fruits: creative on a festive table

Today, the most popular cooking is carving, which is a figured cutting of fruit and vegetables. In restaurants of various national cuisines such "carving work" is used widely enough. But now we will not make an excursion through the menu of catering points, but we will get acquainted with the ways of creating an ornament from vegetables and fruits, which you quite can do at home during the preparation for the next festive date. By the way, if your family has children, then attract them to the beautiful design of dishes - this fascinating activity promotes the development of creative and work skills.

Decoration from vegetables "Palma"

"Palma" can serve as an excellent decoration for any salad, for example, crab or mimosa. Salad put in a salad bowl and smooth. It will be an "island". Take two long wooden skewers (which are usually used for cooking lyulya-kebabs or home shish kebabs). Olives string on skewers to the very top - it will be the trunks of palm trees. Well, and to the very last upper olive, attach the foliage for which fennel or parsley will suit. "Palms" fix on the "island".

Ornaments from vegetables "Ladybugs"

Option 1. Take a medium-sized tomato, cut the top of it, but not to the very end. Do another longitudinal incision. Now cut the tip into two identical parts - these are the wings of the ladybug. Make a filling of melted cheese, finely chopped dill and parsley and cloves of garlic. Carefully bend the wings, put the minced meat in the middle. Wings slightly spread apart. From the sprigs of dill make the antennae of ladybird, from mayonnaise - specks on the wings and draw a nose and mouth. To make a peephole will go a cucumber peel.

Option 2. Two cherry tomatoes cut in half and in each half make 6 holes. Cut out the olives from the circles and insert them into the holes - these will be specks on the back of the ladybug. In each half, make incisions - the "wings" of your edible insect. Corn the canned corn cut across and unfold the halves - it's "eyes." Pupils make from pieces of olives. Eyes fasten on the half of the olive (this is the "head"). Put the "head" to the "torso" of the ladybug.

Decoration from vegetables "New Year's tree"

Cut a thick circle of cucumber and strengthen the skewer in it. From the slices of cheese sliced, cut out the triangles and begin to thread on the skewer in the form of "fir twigs". After every 3-4 slices of cheese, put on one skewer per skewer. Do not forget that the herringbone should have a triangular shape, so every next row of pieces of cheese should be cut slightly smaller. On the crown of the "Christmas tree", fasten the star, cut out of red pepper.

Decoration from vegetables "Penguins"

Cut the carrots into circles and cut a small corner from each. Divide the olives into those that are larger and those that are smaller. Cut a large olive tree along and stuff it with soft cheese (for example, Almette) - this will be a "torso". For a smaller olive ("head"), put on a corner of the carrot - it's a "beak". Collect the penguin, threading the toothpick first "head", then "trunk", then "paws" (circles from carrots without corners).

Decoration from a radish "Bee"

From the radish cut for stability a small slice. Cross the radishes by cutting small strips (this is the "trunk"). On each side make two more incisions for "wings". From a whole radish cut two thin mugs - these are "wings", and insert into the notches. "Eggs" make a bee from pieces of olives.

Ornaments from fruits and vegetables can also play the role of a kind of container for laying out a salad. For example, a basket of orange you can fill with berries, fruit salad or ice cream, a basket of watermelon - assorted of fruits. Boats made of Bulgarian pepper, avocado or pineapple, filled with salad, will look very festive and original. Good luck in your culinary fantasies!
