Despite the fact that many countries have their own national holiday of employees of this specialty, it is long overdue for the world to choose a single date in order to celebrate this celebration. And the International Day of the bookkeeper was created. What date is it celebrated? The choice of the date was due to historical events.

The reason for the choice was the release of the famous scientific work of the Italian scientist Luke Paccioli at the end of the XV century. It is known to the accuracy of the day of the week - it happened on November 10, 1494. What is so remarkable about this work? In his book, Luca Paccioli reveals the main postulates of the accountant profession. In particular, a separate chapter is devoted to this, although the treatise itself summarizes all known mathematical knowledge. Paccioli described in detail the accounting in Venice of that time.

It is his authorship that posits a postulate that has become the basis for the activities of all representatives of this profession: a good accountant will not go to sleep until he debits a loan. For these merits, he became famous both among contemporaries and among descendants. This is eloquently evidenced by the fact that his book was printed on a machine, although the printing business was invented only 50 years before. And acknowledgment of gratitude of our contemporaries was that on the day of his release we now celebrate the Day of the accountant. What number should this be done? According to the decision of the Presidential Council of the UPS, it is scheduled for November 21, and is celebrated accordingly.
