It is difficult for a modern person to imagine his life without computers. They firmly entered our life and took their place in all spheres of activity. For someone, a computer is an indispensable assistant in the workplace, for others a guide to a virtual world where everyone can become anyone.

The harm of the computer is undeniable. It is unlikely that there will be those who do not agree with this. What is the main threat the computer carries in itself:

  1. Violation of individual body systems (muscular, musculoskeletal, circulatory and so on). This is due to the sedentary lifestyle that we lead. With the advent of personal computers, the activity of office workers decreased to four times. The culprit for this was the computer only indirectly. The main reason lies in the person himself, in his laziness and unwillingness to return to the real world.
  2. Impairment of vision. Working for a long time at the computer, we concentrate on the monitor, which negatively affects the visual system.
  3. Electromagnetic radiation. This factor was named almost the first, when the society realized the harm of the computer and its influence on the body. Recently, the radiation level has been significantly reduced, various protective devices (glasses, screens, etc.) have appeared. Nevertheless, do not forget about the system unit and the back of the monitor.

Needless to say that many inveterate "gamers" can sit for days at a computer, forgetting to eat and sleep. This also causes considerable damage to our health.

The use and harm of the computer have been studied for a long time. Despite all the negative consequences of using computers, mankind will no longer be able to refuse them. Thanks to them, we significantly accelerated many technological processes. Even elementary accounting calculations are performed many times faster. Without leaving home, we can contact relatives and friends who are on the other side of the world. In this case, you can not just write a letter, but also see them using the global Internet.

In order to reduce the damage to your computer, you must follow certain rules:

  • If your work is connected with a computer and you spend the whole working day looking at the monitor, then when you come home arrange a rest;
  • Try to move more, sign up for a fitness club or a sports hall;
  • Walk on foot. This will help support the body in a tone and relax tired eyes.

An adult person is somehow aware of the danger and can control the time spent at the computer, his activity and so on. This can not be said about children. As a rule, these questions are not of interest to them. Harm to the computer for children can not be underestimated. In addition to the sight of toddlers and teenagers, the posture deteriorates and physical development is inhibited. Communication with friends is reduced to a dry correspondence in social networks. As a result, they become older because they are afraid to communicate and get to know the opposite sex in real life. This leads to loneliness and low self-esteem.

Parents need to try to reduce the harm of the computer and help the child to improve life without it:

  1. To begin with, determine the time period when he can play, work at the computer. Choose the optimal time when the child will not be occupied with homework. You can somehow influence the behavior of your child, depriving him of the opportunity to play his favorite game for bad behavior or grades in school.
  2. Correctly adjust the contrast and brightness of the monitor. This will help reduce the strain on the eyes.
  3. Do regular gymnastics for the eyes.
  4. The workplace should be well and properly lit. The monitor should not be exposed to direct sunlight. It is best if the child looks at it from the top down.
  5. Furniture (chair, desk) should correspond to the age and physical parameters of the child.
