Create a beautiful hedgehog suit with your own hands

All parents sooner or later have to think about a carnival costume for a child. Sometimes in the kindergarten some specific images are required if the toddler participates in the production and plays a key role. But more often on New year, masquerade or simply celebratory action suggest to dress up by someone on a choice. There are three exits. You can take a suit for rent, buy it ready or make yourself. So, we make a hedgehog suit with our own hands.

Animal image

First of all, the hedgehog is an animal, which traditional appears in fairy tales as being solid, wise, respectable. So the suit should be chosen in such a way as to fit the look. Frivolous bows and cheerful pink flowers are not needed here. And what you need?

Parts of the costume

So, the carnival suit of a hedgehog can include a single-colored shirt (it is better to choose a yellow, white or blue), colorful colored vest (if not with a drawing, you can take a plain one and decorate with braid, sequins or tinsel if it's a New Year costume), plain or striped Pants, harmonizing with the top, and elegant shoes. The head will need a cape in the form of a hood with needles, which will go down on your back (you can sew it from any other fabric, add a lining of gray, black or white flowers), you can wear a mask.

Cape

The hedgehog suit with its own hands is made so that the hood-cape looks like a prickly hedgehog. To do this, it is attached to the "needles" (cut out the mugs from the black package, fold and glue). The hood is fastened to a butterfly, a button or a bow, which in color should be bright and contrasting with respect to the rest of the costume.

The hedgehog mask

In principle, of course, the mask is not an essential element of the outfit, but if the kindergarten is allowed and the child wants to wear it, it is quite possible to make a cute muzzle of the forest sage. The hedgehog suit, made with his own hands, will look much more interesting with her. We cut out the mask from the cardboard, we glued it with the same cloth from the top, from which the hood was sewn, because in theory the cape is the continuation of the muzzle. The nose is made of a piece of foam rubber, covered with a black cloth (here anything, though the same bike, even felt, even a cut from the black tights) is sewn on or glued to the mask. For greater likelihood, you can even make a mustache and attach them to the nose. To do this, pieces of thick fishing line are threaded through it, fixed with a glue on the inside (so that it can not be pulled out). Eyes of the hedgehog can be decorated by circling it with gouache (diluted with glue) or by gluing a black breech. Mounted mask with a rubber band. Assembly

The only thing left to consider is the decoration of the ready-made suit. It all depends on the nature of the holiday and the desire of the needlewoman.
