Configuring the DIR-615 router from D-Link is not so difficult and it can be solved by each user, regardless of his level of knowledge. This article will show a step-by-step algorithm for solving this issue, following which you can easily and easily configure your router in 15-20 minutes.

Network Device Specifications

This router model belongs to the initial segment. Therefore, the equipment at it is rather modest. This list includes:

The network device has 5 ports for wired connection. One of them is the entrance one. It connects the wire from the provider of Internet services. But it should be noted that the speed at the entrance port will be limited by the provider. In turn, in the wireless part of the computer network, the peak speed can reach 300 Mbit / s. The device supports the most widespread to date standards "Wai-Fay": b, g and, of course, n.

Indication and connection

From the connection of the router and entering the necessary program parameters is the configuration of the DIR-615 router . "Rostelecom" (these parameters are on the INTERNET tab), for example, requires the setting of such parameters:

• The network address is dynamic.
• The type of connection to the global web is "PPRoE".
• Login and password are specified in the contract with the provider.

Configuring the router for "TTK"

This provider is much more complicated than in the previous two cases, the configuration of the DIR-615 router goes through. "TTK" requires a much larger number of parameters. First, you need to create a connection template in the router with any name (item "Firewall", sub-item "Virtual Servers"). Then select the interface - WAN. Then, in this template, we add two types of connections: TCP and UTP. The first of these we bind to port 30001, and the second -30002. And these addresses are specified as an incoming port and outgoing. Also, in the protocol parameters, you must specify the static address of the personal computer. The router itself is already configured to work with the provider. But there is no PC. Next, we install exactly the same static address on the computer that was added to the router profiles. Then we install a special program Pulse ++ K. In it, we set exactly the same parameters that were entered in the profile of the router. Also, we cancel the dynamic addressing and set the fixed address of the device. Still need to add this program to the exception of the brandmauer. Also in this program, check the box opposite the TTK network and select it by default.

«UFANET»

In this case, in comparison with the "TTK", it is much easier to configure the DIR-615 router. "UFANET" -connection requires setting the following parameters in the router (INTERNET CONNECTION tab):

• The device address is dynamic.
• Type of connection Russia РРТР (Dual Access). Also set the address of the gateway rrr.ufanet.ru.
• Enter username and login from the registration card.
• Set the "Reconnect Mode" check box to "Auto".

We collect the scheme

At the first stage, the configuration of the DIR-615 router is reduced to collecting the circuit. First, we select the location of the router. Near to it there should be a stationary socket which will provide its power supply. Also, the incoming wire from the provider should easily reach this place. Another important recommendation - the router should be as close as possible to the center of the house, office or apartment. This will significantly increase the coverage area and get almost everywhere the highest level of the wireless network signal. Also, it is not allowed to find metal sheets near the network device. Software configuration

At the next stage, the configuration of the DIR-615 router is reduced to entering program parameters (they were previously indicated) in the program configuration of the router. To do this, turn on the router and the computer. Then we wait until the end of each of them. Then run any of the Internet browsers installed on the PC. In its address bar, enter the address "192.168.0.1 (this is the address of our router in our computer network) and press" ENTER ". After that, you will receive a request with the login and password of the router. In the first and second fields of this query, enter "admin". If the router is not new and someone has already used it, then these parameters can be changed. In this case, the entire configuration of the router will have to be reset to the factory settings. To do this, it is enough to hold down Reset button for 20-25 seconds. Then we repeat everything again.

After the configuration interface is opened, we enter the parameters that were described in detail in the previous sections. Next, set the parameters of the wireless network - its name, password and encryption method (be sure to choose WPA2 - it is the most reliable). In the end, do not forget to save everything. After that it is recommended to reboot the router. To do this, just press and release the "Power" button. After that, the router must turn off. Then you need to pause - 10-15 seconds. Next, turn on the router, and after the download is complete, it is ready for use.

We check "Wai-Fay" and wired connection

At this point, the configuration of the WiFi router DIR-615 is over and you just need to check the operability of the wired and wireless part of the local area network. In the first case, it's enough to start the browser on the PC and enter any of the addresses. If the start page of the site is opened, then everything is in order and you can start testing the wireless method of information transfer. Otherwise, we check the parameters entered into the router. But on mobile devices the order of testing is slightly different:

• Go to the settings tablet or smartphone. In the item "Wireless networks" we include the transmitter "Vai-Fay".
• Lists the available networks by scanning. We choose ours and connect to it. Do not forget to enter the previously set password.
