Odintsovo Humanitarian University (OGU): student feedback

In the city of Odintsovo, located in the Moscow region, previously existed OSU (Odintsovo Humanitarian University). There were quite a few students in it. The university was an autonomous non-profit educational organization that was engaged in the implementation of a system of continuous multi-level education. Historical background

Odintsovo Humanitarian University was founded in 2004. The initiator of the creation of a higher educational institution in the city was made by Gladyshev Alexander Georgievich. From 1991 to 2013 he was the head of the Odintsovo district of the Moscow region. The founders of the university are:

• Fund for the Development of Education and Science of the Odintsovo District "Sozidatel".
• Municipal formation "Odintsovo municipal district of the Moscow region".
• ANO "Center for Regional Management and Sustainable Development of Territories".

The university opened its doors for the first students in 2005. In October, an official opening of a higher education institution was held. Odintsovo Humanitarian University has set itself the main goal, which is the qualitative training of specialists with secondary professional and higher education.

Activity of the educational institution

The higher educational institution in Odintsovo carried out its activities in several areas: educational, research and international. If we evaluate the first of them, it can be noted that the following training programs for specialists with higher education were implemented in the organization:

Actively Odintsovo Humanitarian University was engaged in science. In it, several basic scientific directions (schools) were formed. Employees of the educational organization conducted individual scientific research, round tables, seminars, inter-university, interuniversity, all-Russian and international conferences. Students were involved in the work. For them scientific circles were created, competitions were held.

Educational work of the university

Odintsovo Humanitarian University attached great importance to the extracurricular life of students, because of it, as we know, the development of the individual depends. Trainees were always invited to participate in various events and events. For example, those wishing to join the volunteer unit of the university. Students attended an orphanage, boarding school, helped children, held New Year charity Christmas trees.

Great importance was attached to sports, because the University of Humanity advocated a healthy nation. In the university for physical training was established sports and recreation complex. It had many halls for different sports, a swimming pool.

The University provided ample opportunities for creative self-realization. Students wishing to somehow express themselves, participated in festivals, festivals, competitions of regional and interregional level, won awards in them.

University Gymnasium

Since the university was aimed at the organization of continuing education, he decided to organize a gymnasium in his structure. There was an event in 2008. In the newly opened gymnasium, they began to teach children in four areas: humanitarian, philological, socio-legal and information technology. Deeply in the school were studied such disciplines as literature, social studies, a foreign language.

The Gymnasium of Odintsovo Humanitarian University had good performance indicators:

• About 47% of the students were winners and prize-winners of regional, regional and all-Russian Olympiads;
• The staff of the educational institution developed several dozen of the author's development programs of training courses, 9 methods for the identification of gifted children;
• Graduates successfully passed the USE - average scores in all disciplines exceeded regional indicators.

College of OSU

In the structure of the university, in addition to the gymnasium, there was an average special educational institution. At college entrants, college has always aroused interest. The statistics showed that the number of applications from the applicants increased annually, taking into account the fact that, on the whole, people's interest in the services decreased, because many sought to enter institutions, academies, universities.

In the school, the applicants had plenty to choose from. The College of Odintsovo Humanitarian University implemented the following programs of secondary vocational education:

The fate of the university

OSU is not currently on the city map. Odintsovo Humanitarian University has ceased to exist. The address, which housed the university, now belongs to another educational organization (Novo-Sportivnaya street, 3). At the end of 2015, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of our country signed an order. It referred to the establishment of a branch of the Moscow State Institute of International Relations (MGIMO) on the basis of Odintsovo Humanitarian University.

In March 2016, the established educational institution was granted a license from the Federal Service for Supervision of Education, giving the right to conduct educational activities. Later, the branch of the well-known institute successfully passed the accreditation procedure for all its educational programs. In the same year, the recruitment of students for bachelor's and master's programs was started.

On the Moscow State Institute of International Relations

The educational institution, created on the basis of Odintsovo Humanitarian University, currently provides training for bachelors in 6 areas:

• "Economy".
• "Jurisprudence".
• "Management".
• "Business Informatics".
• "Personnel Management".
• "Municipal and public administration".

In April 2016 in the structure of Odintsovo branch MGIMO began to work Gorchakov Lyceum. He is implementing programs of basic general and secondary general education. Students study international disciplines, pass linguistic training. The lyceum is an excellent starting place for those children who in the future will want to enter MGIMO or foreign higher educational institutions.

On the Odintsovo Humanitarian University students left both positive and negative reviews. Someone liked the university, and someone said that the institution does not deserve the status of the university, since it is more like a college or a technical school, where the quality of the educational process is not at a high level.

The opening of the MGIMO affiliate in Odintsovo entrants to the city are happy. In the created educational institution the professional pedagogical collective has been generated. Now many people have a chance to get a higher education of one of the most famous universities in Russia. The diploma of MGIMO is highly rated on the labor market and allows graduates to be employed in very good positions.
