Composition in the journalistic style: how competently to combine the analyst with emotionality?

Composition in the journalistic style is a certain complexity, especially for students in primary and secondary schools. It has a lot of specific features, because in the journalistic style, mainly journalists and media representatives write. However, writing an essay is realistic, you just need to know some of the features that we'll talk about in more detail.

Specificity of style

First, you need to understand the very concept of journalism. This term was formed from the Latin publicus, which in translation means "public." But you do not need to go far, because everything is much simpler - this concept has gone from the word "public". Therefore, the goal of journalistic works and, in general, this style of speech is to convey information to the public with the intention to influence it, to awaken the desire to do something.

Publicism has a direct bearing on journalism. The works that are written in this style include virtually everything that is published in print and electronic publications - an article, an essay, a feuilleton, a court speech

To write an essay in the journalistic style, it is necessary to take into account all its features.

The style of speech and its characteristics

Estimated judgment, logical and consistent presentation of thoughts, reasoning, emotionality (in reasonable amounts) is only a small part of what is characteristic of the genres of journalism. In fact, there are a lot of features. But the most important requirement that is imposed on any such work (the essay in the journalistic style also refers to such), is public access.

The fact is that such texts are intended for a wide audience and, accordingly, should be understood by all. This, by the way, defines one more difficulty, related to the creation of such works. After all, writing in a journalistic style is not so easy. Not every experienced journalist can create a text that every reader can feel. For this, one must be a versatile person and know how to present information so that the majority can understand the meaning of the written.

Elements of analytics

Publicism, like any other genre related to journalism, contains elements of analytics. After all, every person who writes something, first of all, reasons. And this process is impossible without the analysis of this or that phenomenon.

Many people have a question about how to write an essay-reasoning. In fact, everything is simple. First, you need to identify the problem. Secondly, to analyze it, to evaluate how it can be solved. After that, make the appropriate generalizations and conclusions.

Before writing an essay-reasoning, one must learn that all thoughts need to be stated consistently and logically. It is also desirable to use general scientific terminology, if it is appropriate in relation to a particular topic.

Emotionality is the main genre element

For the lexicon of this style is typical use of a rather large number of words with a pronounced emotional color. Ability to correctly express their feelings, present emotions so that they are understood by others, this is taught by the journalistic style. 7th grade, 8th, 9th and in the following years schoolchildren should study its features, as it develops not only literacy. Ability to express their thoughts is useful in life, and writing such works is an excellent training.

It must be remembered that the means of emotional impact, which are very often used in this style of speech, are quite diverse. Only their purpose is not to create artistic images. They must work on the reader and convince in anything. Very often epithets, metaphors, lexical repetitions are used. An excellent move will be an introduction to the text of the appeal - so the reader gets the feeling that everything written relates only to him alone. As a result, there is a credibility of the author and a desire to believe in his words.

Expressiveness

Continuing the theme of emotionality, I would like to note that proverbs, quotes, phraseological theologems, satire and even anecdotes are often found in publicistic works. All this helps to make the syllable more alive. It is much more pleasant to read (or listen to) such lines than the text written in dry language.

This is notable for the journalistic style. Examples, incidentally, are a direct proof of this. In the same political newspapers one can find such ironic expressions as "inflation of conscience," "a parasite on the body of society," "a balance of economic forces," etc. But do not get carried away - everything should be in moderation. This also needs to be felt, so as not to oversaturate the text with emotional expressions. After all, the most important thing is informative. The writing in a journalistic style should notify the reader about this or that event, tell him something important.

Structure

And, finally, about what structure such a work should have. Of course, an introductory part is needed. It is necessary to acquaint the reader with the topic and as close as possible to bring to the disclosure of the main aspects of the planned work.

Then comes the substantive part, that is, the main one. Here it is necessary to clarify the essence of the work, to reveal the given topic. And, of course, the conclusion, which traditionally summarizes what has been said and draws conclusions. Considering the whole genre specificity, you can simply arrange all the points above i. After all, this is characterized by journalistic style.

Examples of how you can finish the job are different. Basically, the composition ends with these words: "Thus, from all of the above, we can conclude that ..." Then follows a generalization of what was discussed earlier. So it will turn out correctly to finish the thought, having finished it to the logical end.
