What did the film "Cold Summer of the Fifty-Three" deserve such recognition? Actors, screenwriters, directors and the entire film crew have invested a lot of effort in creating the film. As a result - a wonderful film, recognized by viewers and film critics.

Plot

In the early spring of 1953, a great dictator died, the father of all nations was Stalin. His place was temporarily occupied by Beria, who was arrested in the summer of the same year. The Supreme Soviet of the USSR passes a law on amnesty, according to which, criminal prisoners are released to freedom. The whole action of the film takes place in a small northern village where former political prisoners sent to settle here try to survive: Skorobogatov Nikolai, nicknamed Kopalych (once the chief engineer who received a political article for espionage), former scout captain Sergei Basargin, aka Luzga (convicted for Something that got into the environment).

On the territory of the settlement fall six criminals who escaped from the round-up. They grab the manager of the local trading post of Zotov and try to storm the local militiaman Mankov, who was sitting in the house with a gun. The leader of the bandits, a felon criminal Baron, with the help of Zotov lures a militiaman, after which he is killed. In the settlement there were some defenseless local villagers who are locked up in a warehouse. Luzga witnesses an attempt to rape a daughter of a dumb cook by the criminal's daughter and kills a bandit, stabbing him with a knife. The exiles now have weapons with which they begin to fight alone with the bandits.

Exhausted by their long stay in the camps, the terrible conditions of their existence, the mockeries and ridicule of the local residents, they become to protect the lives of people without thinking of themselves. They are so used to always live in good conscience, honestly and do not be afraid of anything. Especially since they were already "taken care of" when their time was just beginning. And if for a scout Luzgi run, shoot and hide - this is the usual thing, then quiet, calm and intelligent Kopalych showed real courage, not giving up to criminals.

Film crew

The film's director Alexander Proshkin before the "Cold Summer" has shot about thirteen tapes, of which the most popular are the series "Mikhailo Lomonosov" and the film "Inspector Gull". In addition to directing, he writes scripts and is a People's Artist of Russia. One of his recent works: "Paradise Kuschi" and "Protection".

The script for the film was written by Edgar Dubrovsky, known for his detective mini-series "The Adventures of Prince Florizel", the criminal tape "Preference on Fridays" and the insurgent "Two long beeps in the fog".

The composer, who organically and accurately conveyed all his pain and tragedy with his music, as well as joy and faith in the best, is Vladimir Martynov. He wrote melodies for such films as "Island", "Peter's Youth", "At the beginning of glorious deeds", and many others. There are on his account and Soviet cartoons, loved by young spectators.

"Cold summer fifty-third": actors

In the film, a surprisingly organic stellar composition was picked up. These are: People's Artist of the USSR Anatoly Dmitrievich Papanov (who knew firsthand that hard time), Valery Mikhailovich Priemykhov (who, apart from his acting, was engaged in directing and writing scripts), Yuri Alexandrovich Kuznetsov. In the tape also starred such stars as Nina N. Usatova, Viktor Fedorovich Stepanov, People's Artist of the RSFSR and a participant of the Second World War Vladimir Terentyevich Kashpur.

Papanov Anatoly Dmitrievich

In the film, he played the role of Kopalych and was very persuasive not only because of his exceptional talent, but also because he was close to this hero. This shy intellectual, cruel fate was in the conditions alien to himself, but withstood all the trials sent to him. Faced with cruelty and violence, he did not harden, not coarsened, but remained the same soft and sensitive person. Looking at this calm and modest character, we hardly believe that he was not afraid of flocks of brutal bandits, but calmly and confidently looked into the face of the approaching death.

Papanov Anatoly Dmitrievich fully got used to his role, worrying for the image, skipping through himself all the screen emotions. It was his last film. In the summer of the same year, when the film was already filmed, he died of a heart attack. At the scoring of the tape it was no longer there. Instead, Igor Efimov's voice is heard on the screen. For this role, Papanov was awarded the State Prize of the Soviet Union. After receiving a serious injury during the Great Patriotic War, he remained an invalid for life, which did not stop him from going to his goal - to give joy to the audience.

After graduating from GITIS in 1946, he refused invitations to the Moscow theaters and went to Lithuania, where he performed on the stage of a dramatic theater. Two years later, returning to the capital, he began to work on the Moscow stage, while filming in the movie. His filmography has about sixty-five roles. Of these, like comedies ("Diamond Arm", "12 chairs"), and deeply dramatic ("Two Companions Served", "Belorussky Railway Station").

Valery Mikhailovich Priemyhov

Valery Priemykhov in this film has masterfully accurately reincarnated as a political prisoner. His Luzga turned out to be restrained, stingy with emotions, which was also Priemykhov himself. This role is considered one of the best in his filmography.

Valeriya had to go a long way to acting. At first, after graduating from the theater department, he played on the stage of the drama theater. Three years later, after arriving in Moscow, he enrolled in the scenic faculty of VGIK. After his graduation Valery Priemykhov could not find himself in the cinema for a long time, began writing scripts, sometimes finishing them for others. His first film as a screenwriter was "Ivan and Columbine." Then there were other films, of which the most famous are: "useless" and "Crusader".

Debuting as an actor, he immediately broke into the world of cinematography with his memorable, unique game. Looking at his characters, it is impossible to believe that this is just a role, so accurately and successfully he displays his hero. There are no unnecessary, unnecessary emotions, pathos tear. He just lives on the screen every time a new life. The film "The Boys" brought him nationwide love and recognition.

Yury Alexandrovich Kuznetsov

Yuri Kuznetsov played in the film the role of the manager of the settlement of Ivan Zotov. When he was still at school, he took a great interest in theater. After graduating from the acting faculty he worked on stage in the theater. His first role in the movie was episodic, but the film itself, in which he starred, became iconic. After that, every year Yuri Kuznetsov was busy in films, became very popular actor. To date, he has appeared in more than one hundred and twenty films, such as "Torpedo Bears", "My Friend Ivan Lapshin", the series "Streets of Broken Lights", etc.

Vladimir Terentyevich Kashpur

In this film Vladimir Kashpur played the caretaker of the pier Fadeich. At the age of seventeen he took part in hostilities during the Second World War. Received many awards. With his acting, he did not immediately associate his life. Only in 1959, after graduating from the school-studio, the Moscow Art Theater began to work on the stage. The first film in which he starred was Vasily Surikov. After this came the landmark tape with his participation "The Ballad of a Soldier." In his archive more than 110 roles. Already at a deeply advanced age, Vladimir Kashpur continued to withdraw, since he remained in good shape until the last. He knew how to work in different genres, but he managed to play the main roles only at the dawn of his acting. But even while remaining an actor in the background, he managed to make his character memorable and alive.

Nina Usatova

The People's Artist of Russia played the role of a deaf-mute in this film. In order to accurately convey the image, she came to a boarding school for the deaf, where she studied their gestures and behavior. After this memorable role, fame came to her.
