Cognition as a matter of philosophical analysis

Before human knowledge, it was only the philosophical science of epistemology. But closer to our time, the interdisciplinary direction - cognitivism - has become increasingly vivid. This young science was interested not only in cognition as an object of philosophical analysis, but also in more informed in the experiments data on how the formation of ideas about the world in a healthy human person is taking place. Analysis means division into parts. So, knowledge is divided into religious, everyday, mythological and artistic, logical, philosophical. These species in practice are not always strictly separated and often can penetrate into each other.

Between the two worlds. Religious knowledge

Any religion presupposes the existence of at least two worlds, at least one of them - invisible. Religious knowledge has signs of systemativeness, although in this respect it is still far from scientific. Characteristic representation of knowledge in the form of rules, and in this difference from the mythological, more figurative. Religious knowledge as an object of philosophical analysis is of particular interest to theologians.

Where to buy oranges? Everyday knowledge

In everyday life, we have to solve many problems that are not and are not set as scientific. For example, in a hypermarket or at a bazaar, buy oranges? Why in a house with small children the sockets are plugged with special plastic forks? We know that accessible sockets can be dangerous for kids. And this is ordinary knowledge.

Who does Tefal think about? Mythological cognition

If you think that mythological cognition has disappeared with the emergence of religions with one God, then you are mistaken. This knowledge, like religious, relies more on emotions than on evidence. It is figurative, it represents fragmentary images-representations about various phenomena of life. Mythological cognition as an object of philosophical analysis seems irrational, but has a hidden logic. Conclusions in mythological cognition are not proved. For example, often the representations formed by brand advertising are elements of mythological cognition.

Evil in beautiful packaging? Artistic knowledge

This knowledge is related to the mythological, the difference is that the elements of the artistic representation, the images, do not exist by themselves. They make up a system expressing one or more of the main thoughts, in English called "message". Artistic knowledge also claims to change the world, and not just to explain it, unlike the mythological one.

Is it possible the impossible? Scientific (logical) knowledge

This kind of knowledge is considered the most perfect scientists of the exact sciences. Philosophers do not quite agree with this. At this kind of knowledge, evidence is required, and the scientist also tries to coordinate the obtained data with the already existing ideas. If this does not work, sometimes there are scientific revolutions.

Have a curved mirror. Philosophical knowledge

This kind of knowledge implies a person's awareness of himself, and these attempts are of a systemic nature when theories are built for understanding oneself, the structure of the world in the most general form and the structure of interaction with the world.

Cognition as an object of philosophical analysis is quite complex. But all kinds of knowledge are characteristic for each person, and all are necessary for a normal life in a society.
