Fluimucil is a broad-spectrum antibiotic

Fluimucil (antibiotic) IT is part of a group of combined antibiotic drugs. It is available in the form of a lyophilizate for the preparation of a solution.

Fluimucil (antibiotic) due to the components included in it has an expectorant and antibacterial property. The active ingredient is glycinate acetylcysteinate thiamphenicol. The drug is active against microorganisms such as pneumococci, Klebsiella, Pfeifer's stick (hemophilic rod), Neisseria, and individual anaerobic bacteria. Due to association with N-acetylcysteine, destruction of thiamphenicol is prevented, which ensures bactericidal concentration in the inflammatory focus. Acetylcysteine is a substance with an expectorant property. It is able to reduce the viscosity of sputum, the adhesion (adhesion) of bacteria with the epithelial cells of the bronchial mucosa. Such an effect of acetylcysteine has a secret that arises from inflammation of the ear and nasopharynx.

Fluimutsil IT is indicated for pneumonia, abscess of the lungs, bronchitis, bronchiectasis, cystic fibrosis, catarrhal, purulent otitis, pharyngitis, sinusitis, pulmonary emphysema, laryngotracheitis. The drug is also prescribed for the prevention and therapy of postoperative respiratory complications. Fluimucil (antibiotic) is used in preparation for aspiration drainage, bronchography, bronchoscopy. The solution is also used for washing the nasal passages, tympanic membrane, maxillary sinuses, fistula treatment, operating area with interventions on the mastoid process and the nasal cavity.

Fluimucil (antibiotic) is contraindicated in hypersensitivity (individual intolerance) to the components of the drug, leukopenia, anemia, thrombocytopenia, liver failure.

Side effects can be reticulocytopenia, leukopenia, thrombocytopenia, neutropenia, anemia. Application in the form of an aerosol can cause nausea, rhinitis, stomatitis.

Fluimucil (antibiotic) intramuscularly prescribed 500 mg, two to three injections per day; Children under the age of two - 125 grams, two doses; From three years to six - two injections per day for 250 mg; From seven years and up to twelve - three times a day for 250 mg.

The course of therapy is not more than ten days. If necessary, the dosage can be doubled.

Patients after 65 years of age are injected with effective minimum volumes of the drug. Preterm and newborn infants up to two weeks of age are given an average dose of 25 mg / kg.

In the form of inhalations, adults are prescribed 1-2 procedures a day for 250 mg, children as often as 125 mg. Preparation of the mixture is carried out only with saline solution. It is not recommended to use even boiled and filtered water as a solvent. Inhalations are carried out with a liquid with a temperature below twenty degrees. Mix antibiotic with other solutions is not recommended. The prepared mixture for inhalation should not come in contact with metal and rubber.

For topical application and endotracheal administration through the intubation tube, bronchoscope or tracheostomy - 1-2 milliliters of solution. For children, 250 mg is dissolved, for adults - 500 mg of a dry preparation.

In diseases of the ear, as well as the nasopharynx, 2-4 drops are prescribed in the external auditory passage or each nasal passage.

Getting into the body, the drug is split into two components. Tiamfenicol prevents the synthesis of protein with pathogens, N-acetylcysteine is able to thin out purulent discharge, sputum and promotes the penetration of the first component into lung tissue. Due to its antioxidant properties, the body is able to combat harmful environmental factors and toxic products formed in the process of inflammation.
