Clear signs that you are going to be dismissed

Dismissal can be a real shock, however there are sometimes signs that you are waiting for problems soon. You just need to know what to look for.

Being prepared is very important. A professional employee always follows his position in the company. If he notices an alarm signal, he can take steps to fix the situation.

You get a bad evaluation of your performance

Negative evaluation is not always synonymous with dismissal, but in combination with other indicators it can be a signal of a problem. Your superiors need to prepare paper grounds for dismissal, and a negative analysis of your activities in the report is one of such grounds. It is especially bad if you get several such grades in a row. Perhaps you will be given a chance to improve, nevertheless a series of negative comments - this is very bad. However, if there is a lack of experience in a particular field, you always have a chance to fix it. It's bad if you are told that you are not a team player, that your style does not fit into the ethics of the company.

You are excluded from general events

When you are not asked about anything, it's worth considering whether you are planning to be fired. Anyway, this is a very disturbing sign, which deprives you of importance in the team.

When the two companies unite, usually there are layoffs, sometimes very large ones. If you already felt that you are in the risk area, the merger may be the last straw, and you will really be dismissed.

Your instinct tells you that something is wrong

If you feel you have done everything you could, but you are still worried about something, most likely, you are right. It's time to move on. Even if you are an excellent employee, your place can be and somewhere else. Start looking for another position that will better fit your personality and your professional ethics. Never try to ignore your own instincts. Sometimes there are no other signs, only your intuition. Maybe you are concerned about the change in corporate culture, maybe something is wrong with duties or your relations with colleagues. Either way, intuition can be a sufficient reason to suspect an imminent dismissal.
