Care of roses after planting at home and in the garden

In the climate of the middle belt , roses are planted after the last spring frosts. Optimum time for rooting: June-July. Planting cuttings in the open ground in autumn should occur long before the first frost, so that the young bush can take root and successfully overwinter. Caring for the roses after planting will get beautiful buds, and the bush will give an opportunity to form and grow stronger in the summer.

Basic rules of care

Care of roses after planting consists in regular watering, loosening, removal of discolored buds and feeding. It should be noted that with the correct pre-plant preparation of soil and fertilization in the first year, you can not feed the plants, and observe only the watering regime.

Watering is necessary every 7 days, in very dry and hot weather - every 3-4 days. In this case, it is necessary to moisten the soil to the level of occurrence of the roots. Weak, but daily watering is not only useless, but it also harms the plant. In this case, moisture does not reach the roots, and the upper layer of the soil is compacted, as a result, the air circulation is disturbed. Closer to the beginning of August, watering should be reduced in order to stop the growth of shoots and allow the ripening of wood, thereby prepare for wintering.

Loosening and mulching of the soil is another condition for the successful growth of roses. As a mulch any thermal insulation material is suitable: straw, reparted manure, humus, peat. When loosening, it is worth remembering the close occurrence of roots.

Top dressing

To care for roses after planting showed the expected results, do not forget to feed the plant. All fertilizers applied are from the phosphate-potassium group. During budding, superphosphate (25 g per square meter) and potassium chloride (15 g per square meter) are introduced into the soil. Superphosphate and potassium are bred in 10 liters of mullein or diluted bird droppings. In their absence, mullein and bird droppings can be replaced by adding 30 g of urea to the water.

In acid heavy soils, ash is introduced, and in weakened depleted ones - diluted bird droppings, mullein, liquefied manure.

Care of roses after planting at home

A huge number of varieties of roses grow beautifully on the windowsills. That is why many growers have a question: "How to take care of roses at home?" There are several nuances for growing roses at home.

Caring for the roses at home is reduced to observing the light, temperature and watering regime. In the summer, you need to take out decorative roses for air, spray, fertilize with mineral fertilizers. In winter, do not overdry the plant, because during the heating season in apartments there is a deficit of moisture in the air.

In addition, caring for roses after planting involves the timely pruning of faded buds and the formation of a bush. All weak side shoots are cut out, branches growing inside the bush and hampering the growth of the main shoots are also removed. Peduncles of a weak, diseased plant should be removed before blooming. And the blossoming buds need to be cut before they start to dry up, since the withering bud is a breeding ground for pathogenic bacteria and parasites.
