In traditional medicine fruits are used in the form of water decoction or infusion. It is used as an astringent for dyspepsia, diarrhea, enteritis, dysentery. Store decoctions and infusions for up to 3 days in the dark and cool. In the summer, such funds must be prepared on a daily basis.

Infusions of bird cherry blossoms are used for inflammations of the eye membrane as lotions. Decoctions of the bark are used for malaria, rheumatism, gastric spasms. Infusions and decoctions of the bark and fruit are taken as a diuretic and diaphoretic.
