Bioadditives and stimulators for the growth of pigs: review, composition, application features and reviews

It has long been in the past to feed pigs only with cooked vegetables from the garden, flavoring them with bran with mixed fodder, and mown grass. Not only on large farms, but also in private farmsteads when fattening pigs use protein-mineral-vitamin supplements (BMVD). When you add these additives to the feed, the pigs gain weight quickly, they are active, do not get sick. Saving feed at this - at 30%, because piglets eat less, but grow faster. With a balanced diet, this is possible. Also in industrial breeding, various growth stimulants for pigs are used.

Is it dangerous to grow pigs, using stimulants for pig growth and fodder vitamin supplements? Does not this meat become tasteless or, on the contrary, with an unpleasant aftertaste? Does not this accelerated cultivation of pigs affect the content of substances harmful to humans in meat? So I would like to understand what we eat when buying pork.

Stimulants and supplements for the rapid growth of pigs

Each owner wants to achieve in the cultivation of pigs for meat the biggest economic benefit. And this means that the pigs, when eating food, absorb as much as possible and add weight. I would like to see that the animals are not sick, they should not be treated and spent on the services of a veterinarian. This applies to any farm, one you have a pig for fattening or several hundred - not so important. Anyone is interested in profitability and high payback, otherwise it makes no sense to do this at all.

Now, when fattening pigs, various growth stimulants and simple dietary supplements are used. Stimulants for the growth of pigs are introduced to piglets in injections, orally, as well as with food or water. Bioadditives are a complex of vitamins, minerals, amino acids and enzymes. Bioadditives are simply added to dry food or a cooled mash.

Bioadditives (BMVD)

Earlier in the subsidiary farms, the pigs were fattened with common food. We grew a lot of potatoes. Potatoes boiled, crushed, added bran, flour or biscuits and then a little water and salt. Such porridge was fed by pigs on rural farmsteads. In summer, the herb was plentifully introduced into the diet, in the winter - fresh fodder beet, carrots and hay. Pigs grew greasy, they added weight in weight.

Now almost every pig owner feeds his BMVD pets. You can buy them in any market and in a store. Most often in packs of 600 grams are sold BMVD for fattening "Borenka", for sows "Piggy Mama" and many other premixes that are less common. The cost of such a package wholesale and retail varies around 40-90 rubles. One pig per day needs about 1.5 tablespoons, respectively, the package is enough for 1.5 months of fattening per head.

In large farms also use bioadditives, only buy them much cheaper, most often ordering from the manufacturer.

With the addition of bioadditives to the feed, it was observed that they act as stimulants for the growth of pigs. The constant high demand for these supplements is the best proof that they really work. Piglets gain weight well, do not get sick. This is especially noticeable, if one is given a dietary supplement, and the other is not. Bioadditives are absolutely harmless, there are 30 percent of the active substance, and the rest is bran or fodder chalk with a small amount of salt, the shelf life is 18 months. With them, food is better absorbed. And, accordingly, the feed consumption per kilogram of growth decreases.

Growth stimulators for fattening pigs

Growth stimulators are widely used mainly in large farms. The introduction of them into the diet of animals or in the form of injections requires more stringent control than bioadditives. These drugs should not allow an overdose, and some animals may have an allergic reaction. But in general, they do not accumulate in the body and do not affect the taste of meat. It was even noticed that the quality of meat is only improving. Meat of pigs, fattened with growth stimulants, can be safely consumed, it is harmless. What growth stimulants for pigs are currently available? Stimulants are large, they are divided into hormonal and non-hormonal.

Hormonal growth stimulants

Hormonal drugs as stimulants for the growth of pigs are steroids and anabolics. Female and male hormones (androgens) cause an increased increase in the muscle mass of pigs. Hormonal stimulants are administered to pigs in two ways, but all this is a growth stimulant for pigs in pricks.

"Sinestrol" is injected into the subcutaneous fold of the ear. The drug dissolves within a year. For 8 months he actively influences the body, 4 months is still excreted and influences the growth of the pig.

"Retabolin" or "Lauroboline" is administered intramuscularly 2 times a month. These drugs are 2 times cheaper than Sinestrol, but they work more with them.

Using hormonal drugs to build muscle mass of pigs are very good results. In 2 months the piglets are added up to 800 grams per day, and by the end of fattening - up to 1200 grams.

But with all the optimism of using hormonal growth stimulants, many doubt that it is safe for people. In many countries, the use of such drugs is prohibited, and the price bites them. On average, "Sinestrol" can be bought for 6000 rubles, and "Retabolin" - for 3000 rubles.

Although this is a controversial issue, it is known that hormones dissolve completely when preparing food in a hot way, which means that consumers do not carry any threat.

Non-hormonal growth stimulants

Nonhormonal growth stimulants include: fodder antibiotics, enzymatic (tissue) phosphatides, natural acids, azobacterin and BMVD, which have already been mentioned above. Non-hormonal stimulants, unlike hormonal stimulants, are legal and widely used in animal husbandry. In addition, they are relatively cheaper than hormonal and more affordable, and the effect of the application is almost the same.

Feed antibiotics

Feed antibiotics are added to feed or water to animals. On industrial pig farms, mixed fodder already comes with the right dose of fodder antibiotics. If the dry food does not contain them, then the preparations are added to the water. Their main advantages are that they do not allow the development of pathogenic bacteria. Piglets are healthy, useful amino acids are not spent on fighting disease-causing microflora. Therefore, all the food you eat goes to the growth and development of the body. On the unit of food eaten the weight of the pig is added to 10-15% faster than those who do not receive antibiotics. For fast fattening pigs are used fodder antibiotics, intended for animals, meat consumers should not care.

Phosphatides

Phosphatides are obtained from vegetable oils by cleaning them. They consist of fatty acids, polyhydric alcohols and phosphoric acid. Phosphatides are added to the piglets in feed. They are like thick fish oils. This growth stimulator also works to build muscle mass, it is of organic origin and absolutely harmless.

As well as bioadditives, amber, citric and glutamic acids are used. 30 milligrams of acid per 1 kg of live weight of the pig is dissolved in water and added to the feed. It is desirable to change the acids.

Azobacterin can be given throughout the whole fattening process. It delivers nitrogenous substances and vitamin B12 to the pig's body. Azobacterin promotes rapid growth and a set of muscle mass. Due to azobacterin, the set of muscle mass increases by 12%.

Nucleopeptide growth stimulator

Nucleopeptide growth stimulator (for pigs) is an enzyme preparation. It is produced from tissues of organs of killed healthy animals. This is mainly due to the spleen. "Nucleopeptide" contains peptides, nucleotide bases, nucleosides and other biologically active substances.

When using "Nucleopeptide" pigs gain weight well, up to 25% higher than the control group. And the drug is used for cattle, and poultry, as well as for pets such as cats and dogs. This drug works well for delaying the physical development of animals, improves skin and coat, raises the immune system. It is important that this drug can be used with all other additives, it almost never causes allergic reactions and helps to remove toxins from the body.

Piglets for weight gain are injected subcutaneously into the neck, calculating the normal weight of the animal. No more than 30 ml of substance is injected into one place. The course goes like this. First they give injections for 3 consecutive days, and then every 15 days for 3 months. 10 days before slaughter, the injections are stopped.

Nucleopeptide is the safest and at the same time effective growth stimulant for pigs. Its price is also much lower than the cost of hormonal drugs, and the benefit from it is the same. The cost of "Nukleopeptid" (100 ml bottle) is 250 rubles, and five 5 ml bottles - 400 rubles.

Feedback on growth stimulants

It was described above which growth stimulants are available for pigs. Reviews about them are mostly positive. Enzymes and BMVD are widely used in pig farms. Also used are other body-friendly stimulants for muscle mass building. This gives the payback of such a business as the breeding of pigs, and this is also an opportunity to protect the livestock from infections and diseases.

Consumers who buy meat on the market, of course, relate to these stimulants with some doubt, more from the fact that they simply have little information on this topic. But the prices for industrial-grown pork are much lower than in a private farmstead, so they are always willing to buy. And to reduce the cost of its production and that there were acceptable prices for such a necessary product, stimulants are necessary. All this is understood and agreed.

Private traders who grow pigs not for sale, but personally for their own use, are actively buying BMVD. They are all happy with the result. In addition, meat, which is rich in vitamins, minerals and other nutrients, is always only beneficial.
