Benefits for single mothers in Russia

More and more often, our modern woman takes on her fragile shoulders a burden, which in usual cases the family should perform together: a woman brings up a child alone. Simply put, becomes a single mother and, most often, consciously, seriously considering this decision. Here about them, about modern mothers, who alone raise their children, and there will be a speech.

In the people, a woman who brings up her child alone is called a single mother. Legally, not every one of them can have such a status. So can be called a woman who:

- gave birth to a child out of wedlock or not less than 10 months after the dissolution of the marriage;

- has not established paternity of the child in voluntary or judicial order;

- married (or was earlier) to the person who challenged paternity, and by decision of the court is not the father of the child;

- not married, but adopted a child.

For example, a woman who, in fact, after her husband's death, actually grows one's child, does not have this status and does not receive any benefits.

What privileges are laid for single mothers?

Our state gives them special benefits. Of course, they, like all women mothers, receive benefits and compensations, namely: a lump-sum allowance for up to twelve weeks of pregnancy; Material payments for maternity; One-time payments at the birth of a child; Payments for childcare up to a year and a half (monthly); Monthly allowance for a child.

But the size of these benefits is significantly different from the size of payments to ordinary mothers. Sometimes additional benefits are available in various regions of the Russian Federation to support women who have the status of single mothers.

For example, in Moscow, single mothers are still paid monthly compensation: to reimburse expenses related to the increase in the cost of living and the increase in the cost of food for a child under 3 years. The material aid is allocated, privileges are guaranteed to mothers to the loners, bringing up children till 3 years.

If the mother works, and the information about the father of the child is not included in the birth certificate of the baby, then she has the right to double the standard tax deduction. Such a deduction can be given to the parent, one parent, or the adoptive parent, guardian, guardian.

  6. The employer is prohibited to unreasonably deny such a woman in employment, and also to change her salary for a lesser reason for reasons that are related to her children. According to the Labor Code of the Russian Federation, there are also "labor" benefits for single mothers. For example, the amount of allowances for caring for a sick child differs, guaranteed employment is guaranteed when the employment contract is terminated, when the organization is liquidated, four additional paid days off are provided monthly.

The tax code understands the term "single mother" as a single woman. And if such a mother marries, she automatically loses tax benefits: a double tax deduction from the earned amount. A mother who raises children alone has the right to enjoy this benefit until the child attains the age of majority.

Only the Housing Code of the Russian Federation does not grant benefits to single mothers. A single woman has the same rights as a complete family. The only thing is that such a mother is entitled to housing in the first place, if she really needs to improve her housing conditions.
