The thing is, she's just in love with the guy who was once called Tom Riddle (and who, by the way, is a distant relative of Harry Potter).

Magical secrets begin when we learn about the death of the Harry family. Bellatrix Lestrange knew about the Prophecy, which was announced by the birth of a child capable of resisting the Dark Lord. She killed the parents of Nevil Dolgopups, thinking that after the death of the Potters Neville would be such, but she was mistaken.

Next comes the lack of confidence in Snape. When Bellatrix comes to him with Narcissa, she feels that Snape is not the one for whom she is trying to betray herself.

However, in the film itself, this is only said in passing. Look, until the last moment, Volan de Mort considered Professor Snape his henchman and killed him only because of a magic wand.

The saddest thing is that Bellatrix Lestrange dies from the actions of Molly Weasley, the youngest of the whole family. Why it worked, and remains unclear.
