The majority of those entering the BSU are the legal faculty. This is where you can get high quality education, because local teachers are always aware of all the changes in this industry. However, not all are ready to go to Belorussia, fortunately, there is an opportunity to study in other countries, including Russia.

The trace of the law faculty in the history of the Belarusian State University

One of the most popular universities in Belarus is BSU. The faculty of law is considered one of the best. This is largely due to the fact that it exists almost from the very beginning of the university - since 1925. For so much time teachers and students of the faculty managed to accumulate enough theoretical and practical material that is used in modern jurisprudence.

Initially, law faculty was called the faculty of law and economy, where two departments were offered to choose: economic and legal. Students could choose what to do, and most of them still preferred studying law, because they wanted to know what kind of help they could expect from the state, what duties they ought to fulfill.

What skills do students receive?

Lawyers of Belarus, who have achieved considerable heights, were mostly trained in BSU. The faculty of law is a real storehouse of knowledge, where students can study a huge number of types of law. Practice students take place in special classes in a designated legal clinic, which is most often consulted by unprotected strata of the population, as well as those citizens who can not afford the services of a lawyer to solve certain issues.

Yurfak is a part of a large project dedicated to the continuous training of specialists. It also includes: a law college at the university, a faculty for retraining and advanced training. After graduating, the graduate will be very much in demand in the labor market, and finding a job will be easy enough for him.

Full-time department

If you plan to live in Belarus and work in the field of jurisprudence, the best option for training is BSU, the Faculty of Law. It is here that more than 10 chairs, laboratories and study rooms work. Most of the specialties are offered for study at the full-time department ("Economic Law", "Jurisprudence", "Political Science"). Also at the full-time department, the future masters are trained in the relevant programs ("Prosecutor's and Investigative Activities", "Jurisprudence", etc.).

In total, about 1,600 students are enrolled in full-time education each year, some of whom went to budget places through a competition. The full-time department of law faculty is known for its active student life, its representatives participate in contests and competitions every year, taking prizes. They are assisted in this by teachers who are more than 250 on the law faculty, among them more than 150 doctors and candidates of science. Full-time studies can also be continued by graduate students and applicants who are invited to undergo appropriate accreditation.

Extramural

Have you already decided that the BSU (Faculty of Law) will become the place of your education? Correspondence department is suitable for those who plan to combine study with work. Every year there are about 1100 students studying here, some of them do it for free. However, it should be noted that extramural students can only apply to one specialty - "Jurisprudence", for all the others, full-time education is supposed. The management of the university plans to increase the number of specialties on "zaochke", but when exactly this happens, it is still unknown.

Students-part-time students for the examination session are given a hostel, where they can safely spend time preparing for the tests. To do this, you just need to write the appropriate application before coming to the session. In their spare time, correspondence students can take a walk around Minsk, as well as visit the Museum of Law, which is located on the territory of their native faculty.

Passing points

The most important question that interests applicants who intend to enter the law faculty of BSU is passing scores. The term of study in this institution is 4 years. For admission it is necessary to pass such examinations: in Russian or Belarusian language, social studies and a foreign language. The total score, formed as a result of passing three exams, will allow you to get a place at the faculty.

Pass rate for the last three school years has been steadily increased, the bar is set by the Ministry of Education of Belarus. If in 2014, in order to arrive on a paid basis, it was enough to score 194 points (for free - 296), then a year later the situation changed. In 2015, for training on an extrabudgetary basis, it was necessary to score 269 points, and on a budgetary one - 334. You can update the current passing score by contacting the admissions office of the university.

Dormitory

And where to live? This question is also relevant for those who are going to enter the BSU. The faculty of law is very sensitive to this issue and is trying to help all those who need a place in the hostel. In total, 11 dormitories operate at the university. Students, graduate students and teachers of the law faculty live in the newest, eleventh hostel, located at: Dzerzhinsky Avenue, 87.

Places here are allocated by a special commission, giving them primarily to the affected: young families, orphans, students with disabilities, etc. To receive the room, you will need to apply to the dean's office of your faculty and write there an appropriate application. The place in the hostel is traditionally given only for one academic year. When continuing the training, it will be necessary to write again the application and be populated. Detailed conditions should be specified in the admissions office or the dean's office. If you do not have enough space, you can settle on an off-budget basis, which will be much cheaper than renting an apartment.

Ufa

Very often the University of Minsk is confused with another, the Russian BSU (Ufa). The Faculty of Law is a separate institution of law, which offers training primarily for bachelors. There are the following profiles: "State Law", "Civil Law" and "Criminal Law", all of them are supervised by the relevant departments and faculties.

The university has long had "twin-cities" outside of Russia and the CIS, so it is quite prestigious to study there.

Bryansk

Did not stay aloof and the Bryansk high school - BSU them. Petrovsky. The Faculty of Law is one of the most popular here. Here, lawyers are trained who will later serve in the executive and legislative branches, in various organizations: courts, lawyers, etc. In this institution they are very strict in training specialists, since it has a high political and civic significance for the society .
