The association "Massandra" (Crimea) consists of the main large winery and nine state farm-factories, which have the names: Gurzuf, Livadiya, Alushta, Tavrida, Greet, Malorechensky, Sudak , "Veselovsky" and "Sea". The vineyards have an area of about 4000 hectares.

About the winery

Famous for the whole world of winery "Massandra" (Crimea) was founded by Prince L. Golitsyn in 1894. He chose the perfect place with an excellent microclimate for creating wine cellars - it is a mountain slope near the city of Yalta. The factory was built very qualitatively. Its walls did not give a single crack in the earthquake in 1927. The main cellar vault was carved in 1898 in the rocks and has seven tunnels fanning out from the central gallery. Each of them has a length of 150 meters and a width of about 5 meters. In the basement, the optimum temperature is maintained for maturation and aging of the wines - this is about 10-12 ° C. For washing bottling containers use spring water from the Massandra source.

Benefits of Crimean wine

A distinctive feature of the company - all brands of wines are produced only from own grapes. Plantations of the association "Massandra" (Crimea) are stretched along the Southern coast from Foros to Sudak, where there is a unique subtropical microclimate in combination with crushed rocky clay soils and mountain relief. These conditions favor the cultivation of grapes with unique flavor properties. On the plantations grow the best varieties of Greek, French, Spanish and Rhine grapes. From it create dessert and strong wines, which are characterized by rejuvenating and healing qualities. Using the ancient and proven traditions of winemaking, specialists do not add sugar and chemical additives to wine materials, from which they produce fortified, table or collectible wine brands. Thanks to this, Massandra wines are good for health. But it is necessary to know that they benefit only at moderate doses: a man can consume 200 ml without harm to his health, and a woman - 150 ml of wine per day. Scientists have proved that in red wine there are many important elements for human life.
