Artificial football field for the latest generation

It is difficult to imagine a football game without a smooth, saturated green field, which literally bewitches with its freshness and softness. So you want to go over it, introducing yourself as one of the virtuoso players. Today, its coverage is experiencing a truly technical revolution. After all, the guarantee of a first-class game is not only the training of athletes, but also an ideal platform for the game.

Currently, there are two types of coverage: natural and artificial field. They differ not only in price, but in structure and practicality.

Natural turf

This species consists of a soil part and sown grass (or a ready sod component). Despite the fact that today it is much easier to grow a natural lawn, it still has a number of drawbacks. Firstly, the high price of a natural lawn is about 160 thousand euros. Not every football club can afford it. Secondly, this is a quick "wear". After one football match on such a field there are friability and damage to the integrity of the grass cover. Restoration work is required, which again requires a lot of financial investments and time. Thirdly, the natural lawn is very whimsical in relation to weather conditions. After a bad weather, draining it is a very long and time-consuming process.

Alternative option

As practice shows, the natural is not always better! This fact especially runs counter to the construction of football fields. Stacking and growing a natural lawn requires a lot of effort, patience and ingenuity, so the ideal solution in this situation is an artificial field. This is the engineering development of the latest generation. It is made of polyethylene fiber and is covered with rolls. Their width reaches about four meters, and the length corresponds to the length of the football field.

Structure of the artificial field

The natural and artificial field for football differ only in the process of laying. The structure of both types includes a drainage system, a base and a heating system. First, a layer of large crushed stone (20-25 cm) is poured, then the surface is ground with a small gravel (5-10 cm). The ground can also serve as an asphalt site.

The second step is the flooring of the rolls. They are connected with a special mounting tape on the polyurethane adhesive. The height of the grass, or pile, varies from five to seven centimeters. For greater durability and practicality, the grass cover is awakened by quartz sand and rubber crumb (granulate), mixed in equal proportions.

Backfilling

The artificial field should correspond (and even exceed) the functional indicators of the natural cover to the maximum. Over its perfection for more than ten years, the leading sports companies with world status have worked tirelessly. The latest innovation in the development of artificial cover is the filling of grass from unvulcanized materials. So, the company OLOSPORT for several years now established the production of granulate from thermoplastic elastomer. It is manufactured using a special technology and has a number of advantages:

  • Does not emit sulfur, prolonging the life of an artificial turf;
  • Does not have a specific rubbery smell;
  • Has a sufficient specific gravity, is not washed out by rain;
  • Differs by mechanical strength and endurance;
  • Provides elasticity, high ball rebound and trauma safety;
  • Does not contain heavy metals, phthalates, PVC, so when in contact with the skin of a person does not cause allergies.

The artificial field for football of the latest generation is used today by many European football stadiums. A single financial investment of about 350 thousand euros pays off high quality and durability of green coverage.

Grass

Herbal coverage of the latest developments also has perfect characteristics. It is made of materials resistant to external influences. Artificial grass equally well tolerates elevated ultraviolet and low temperatures, superbly transmits water. Pile practically has no life and allows football matches and training for a very long time. The artificial field does not require care, irrigation and fertilizer.

In the production of synthetic coating, the "tufting" method is used. This is the interlacing of the pile in an elastic base. The grass itself is made of polyethylene. The latest developments also include polypropylene and polyamide. Thanks to this unique combination, the artificial field does not break out, does not trample down and does not lose its luscious green color.

And, finally, another feature of artificial turf of the last generation is a fixing layer of latex, which has antibacterial, antifungal and waterproof properties.

Mini football

The technologies of equipment for mini-football differ slightly. This is directly related to the parameters of the playing field. Traditionally, mini-football is held in sports halls, which is why it got its second name "futsal". Although outdoor games are no exception, but rather confirm the rules. Monolithic coating and the absence of seams - the main features that can boast an artificial field for mini-football. Photos of the sites show a glossy colored surface, at first glance reminiscent of the ordinary wooden floor of school gyms. However, this structure is much more cunning and inventive.

The artificial field for the mini-football of the latest generation is a multi-layer product. A rubber substrate (or mat) is attached to the polyurethane base. It, in turn, is covered with two layers of special putty. And this "cake" is crowned by a color coating (it can be not only classical green, but also blue, yellow, red, etc.), treated with varnish.

Each layer has its own consumer value. So, polyurethane allows you to seal possible pores, and the color coating has leveling properties that make the football pitch perfectly even and strong. Sealing varnish is not only decorative, creating a gloss on the surface of the site, but also prevents the penetration of moisture into the deep layers of the sports facility. In addition to technical practicality, the artificial field for mini-football is trauma-safe, resilient and absolutely non-toxic.
