The next item is a circle from the MDF. Its diameter depends on the size of the chair itself. In the center it is necessary to drill a hole. Its diameter corresponds to the size of the nut inserted into the hole. It will be screwed into the threaded stud.

A plastic pipe is attached to the base. Its length is adjustable depending on the height of the future chair. The resulting shape is also glued to papier-mâché.

On the surface of the chair and legs, a layer of putty is applied about half a centimeter thick. Dry the product will be within a day. After that, the ball is blown away and pulled out. The putty is applied already from the inside. This layer can be thicker than the outer one. The chair will dry again for 24 hours.

It remains to sand it with a large sandpaper, fill the voids with a putty and finish cleaning with a small sandpaper. Then apply several layers of white paint. She will dry for a day. Epoxy paint is applied over the top to fix the white. She dries again for about a day.

In the chair, a hole is drilled for the stem with a diameter corresponding to the threaded stud, after which a base is mounted on it. The leg is fixed - and the process is almost complete!

Upholstery - where to stay?

It must be started with foam rubber. Five isosceles triangles are cut from it in accordance with the dimensions of the chair. The blanks are laid out on the fabric chosen by you, outlined along the contour taking into account the allowances - about 5 centimeters. The material is cut by marking.

Fabric upholstery is glued to the foam, smoothed and wrapped. The edges should be smooth and without folds.

After applying the glue on the inner surface of the chair, the foam preforms begin to be laid. Cut a strip of cloth about the size of the opening. A rope of the same size wrapped around her tightly. The edges are sewn together, the excess is cut off. The so-called frill is glued along the perimeter of the opening.
