Antibiotics of the new generation. "Pros and cons"

The newest antibiotics are used nowadays everywhere. These medicines are used in both therapeutic and surgical treatment. Antibiotics of the new generation are combined into various groups (tetracycline, penicillin, macrolides and others). Each of them has both advantages and disadvantages. However, a few decades earlier, people in huge numbers were dying from diseases due to the lack of antibiotics in the arsenal of practicing specialists.

Proper treatment of modern drugs, in the first place, is called such treatment, in the appointment of which the doctor evaluates and carefully weighs all the possible risks associated with taking one or another of them. Antibiotics of the new generation - medicines are very selective. Therefore, the correct treatment should begin with the identification of the pathogen against which the action of the drug will be directed. However, the patient is often given a wide-spectrum antibiotic before the results of the tests are obtained. After identifying the pathogen and determining its sensitivity, the appropriate drug is prescribed.

It should be remembered that even the new generation antibiotics practically in all cases negatively affect not only the pathogenic bacteria, but also the beneficial microflora of the intestine, destroying it. In connection with this, the doctor must supervise the treatment. It should be remembered that uncontrolled use of medication can lead to very sad consequences. As a rule, with self-administration of medicines, whether they are antibiotics of a new generation or any other strong drugs, a person constantly feels weakness, malaise, a breakdown. All these states have nothing to do with external factors. The reason lies in the side effect of the medicines themselves.

Modern antibacterial drugs are highly effective agents that inhibit the development of microorganisms. Together with this, the negative influence of these medicines on healthy and healthy bacteria of the human body is also increasing. Sometimes it is difficult to say unambiguously what is more harmful in new drugs - harm or benefit.

Modern antibiotics, meanwhile, are often irreplaceable drugs. These medications are used in surgery, in the postoperative period. The use of these drugs can prevent the development of various serious infections.

It should be said that antibiotics are not designed to be taken with an ordinary cold. Experts in no case recommend self-medication, while choosing strong drugs. They do not affect the viruses that cause flu and colds. In some cases, drugs from the sulfanilamide group (eg, Biseptol medication) may be prescribed. At the same time, any appointment should be justified and carried out only by a specialist.

In medical practice, there are cases when the appointment of antibacterial drugs for colds contributes to a sharp decrease in immunity and the occurrence of quite serious complications in the form of bronchitis, pyelonephritis, pneumonia. According to many experts, these medicines should be prescribed in exceptional cases in the absence or ineffectiveness of other drugs. Antibiotics of the new generation are not intended for disease prevention.

An important value in therapy is the compatibility of medicines. This factor plays a special role in the choice of a combined method of action on certain pathogens. A competent doctor before prescribing several drugs will necessarily pay attention to their compatibility. It should be noted that many modern antibacterial agents strengthen each other's action.
