An unusual story. "Fallout 4": a review of the endings

What the survivors of the post-apocalyptic world can tell, many may not like. It is unlikely that they will want to know from someone what is waiting for them, as they hope to find out for themselves. Therefore, they should not drop their eyes below the first five lines, so as not to spoil the impression. The rest, if interested, should stay longer and find out what secrets the next plot hides. "Fallout 4" is the story of one hero living in a world destroyed by a nuclear explosion, and forced at some moment to make a complex and the most correct choice.

The usual morning

So, "Fallout 4". The plot of the game, released in late 2015, begins with the terrible day when the nuclear war started . As a result, virtually the entire population of the Earth was destroyed, and the radioactive fallout contributed to the appearance of mutants.

The protagonist (Nathaniel, or Nora) wakes up shortly before that, goes to the bathroom, washed, communicates with his second half near the mirror, is identified with gender, strolls around the house and plays with the children. But a sudden bell at the door tears the hero away from his home bustle.

Behind the door stands a representative of "Volt-Tech" - a company engaged in the construction of high-tech protective underground complexes. He unequivocally hints at the forthcoming nuclear explosion and offers a "bright future under the earth", where it is possible to wait out the consequences of the catastrophe. The hero agrees, and after filling in some papers the guest leaves.

There was a baby crying. The hero goes into the room to calm him down, but a sudden release of news causes parents to approach the television. And there it is reported that nuclear explosions have already occurred in several cities, and in order not to fall under such a wave, it is necessary to proceed to the nearest defensive complex - Vault 111. The people descend into the dungeon, they are placed in cryo-chambers and frozen for several decades.

Unpleasant awakening

So, the main character with his family falls asleep in one of the shelters of the game "Fallout 4". The main plot continues to develop already inside the protective complex. For some reason, the hero wakes up and is horrified by what he sees - his wife (or spouse) is killed, and the child is taken away by two unknown persons. They do not touch him, they freeze him again.

It will be 60 years before the main character re-opens his eyes. He will remember what happened, and he will want to find his stolen son, Sean. True, he does not know how many years have passed since that moment. This is only to be determined, because he will have to leave the shelter and go to conquer the wasteland.

First results

Having no idea where to start, the hero hangs around a huge territory, doing little or no work there. But soon he attacks the trail of a mercenary (Kellogg), who lived in a small town on the surface, but at some point disappeared. Interest was represented by the fact that he was often seen with a little boy. Such a minimal chance and going to use the hero of the game "Fallout 4". The plot sends him in search of Kellogg.

After a while he finds a mercenary and finds out that he has long been traveling alone. And Sean, most likely, can be in one interesting organization, calling itself the "Institute". They create synthetics and do not disdain the abduction of children. Mercenary meeting in memory did not survive, but his memories told of the location of this office. There the parent sends a story. "Fallout 4" continues, and at the same time there are answers to some questions.

On the way to the Institute, the hero learns that it is impossible to get there by the usual way. You can see the room from the inside only with the help of a special teleport, which you can use only if you know the secret code. This is the case with every employee of the organization. So, we need to act. And as soon as the opportunity appears, the main protagonist immediately clings to it.

But what was the surprise of the parent when he learned that the head of this organization is his offspring Sean, who is no longer young. More precisely, he is 60 years old. He has already entered the Institute for a long time and believes that he is engaged in a noble cause - he is trying to revive mankind with the help of atomic energy and robotic-technical discoveries.

And here a big veil comes up, revealing some details that have hitherto hid the plot. "Fallout 4", or rather the story told in it, finally explains the reason for the division of the family. It turns out that Sean was kidnapped, since for the research it was necessary to have the DNA of a child who was not affected by radiation. And one of the parents was left as a donor. But now it all does not matter, and the hero does not represent value. So Sean lets him go.

This ends a narrow path, and begins a broad storyline, offering the hero several ways at once, which will depend on the final part. He will have to join one of the existing organizations in the game "Fallout 4". The main story by this time will already make it clear that each of them is hostile to its competitors, and therefore, the choice of a certain faction means the destruction of the remaining factions. But it is not so.

"Institute"

There is an option to join the "Institute", that is, to stay "on everything ready." Only have to fulfill all the vagaries of scientists, resulting in large losses incurred by other groups. And some of them will be completely destroyed.

Only free peoples will not suffer. But the efforts of the hero will be rewarded, and when Sean dies, it's easy to guess who will manage the organization.

"Minutemen"

If you play for Minutemen, you can see how the story will develop in this case. "Fallout 4" will show how the hero back to back with the most friendly organization in the Commonwealth will return her once owned "Castle" and against the backdrop of dizzying success will start to glance at the "Institute". More specifically, their goal will be the reactor, as well as the technologies of scientists that they use to protect the remaining population. As a result, they will succeed, and scientists will not suffer.

"Subway"

The victory of "Podzemki" is another ending, which offers "Fallout 4". The plot of the game here implies the introduction of the "Institute" in the organization to agree with one of the scientists about the escape of the Sinti, which then should be armed and set against the "Institute" and the "Brotherhood of Steel" (there are no animosity with Minutemen). For this, the hero will penetrate the airship of the "Brotherhood" and destroy it with the help of explosives.

With scientists, of course, it is more difficult, because the entrance to them is "guarded" by the teleporter. But after his capture it will only be necessary to move the employees of Podzemka to mine and then blow up the Institute. Elimination of hostile groups will free the synthetics, and they will spread throughout the world.

"Brotherhood of Steel"

But the lucky guy who became his "Brotherhood of Steel", immediately set against the "Institute". The main character will have to find an entrance to the den of scientists to destroy him. Will make this huge robot, dug a tunnel to the bunker. And then it will be for the small - the destruction of all the synths, farewell to Sean, the receipt of a high title and, finally, the construction of a "new world".
