In any dacha area you can create an unusual fairy tale, which will decorate your garden and will remind you of your childhood. For this you need very little - to plant beautiful flowers and lawn grass. And also to install in the center of the composition such an original element of garden architecture as a decorative mill. It is not so difficult to make it with your own hands. With certain skills, a fraction of the imagination and savvy, everything is possible!
The decorative mill can be water or windmill, its design depends on the place where you want it to be installed. Both species have their own characteristics, but they look attractive in their own way. Therefore, let's consider how the decorative mill is made by the hands in two variants.
So, to create a windmill, we will need material for the frame (most often for this purpose use wood), decorative stones, cement, metal pin (as a shaft) and a few planks for the wings. Despite the fact that such a mill is decorative and has very small dimensions, the foundation for it is still worth building. To do this, it is necessary to dig a pit about a depth of about 25 cm and a diameter of one meter. The foundation must be filled with cement mortar with the addition of broken bricks or other construction waste. In the center, fix the frame of a cone shape. The established skeleton is recommended to cover well with concrete and lay out decorative stones or paving tiles, which also need to be cemented together. Each mill must have wings. To produce them, you need to build a wooden frame, on which the blades are attached. They should be triangular in shape, most often they are made of wooden boards. With the help of a metal shaft, the wings are attached to the finished frame of the mill. So, our "windmill" is ready! Now you just need to decorate it with flowers. Such a decorative mill (with your own hands, as you had time to be sure, it is not difficult to build) is able to effectively decorate any corner of your site.
The second version of the device construction - a water mill, the construction of which is slightly more complicated than the windmill. But with a certain skill and with this task will cope with anyone. So, how does a water decorative mill make its own use? To build it, you need: a metal frame (welded or bolted), wire for the wheel, materials for walls and roofs (straw or cane is most often used), blinds for ceiling and blades. In addition, it is necessary to provide in advance a system for supplying water to the mill. It, as a rule, is assembled in random order, most often used parts such as hoses, a rotating element from the Bulgarian, adapters and fittings, a pump. All water-resistant structure must be carefully treated with sealant and fastened to the frame.
From the reeds, three walls of the mill are formed, the water supply mechanism is attached to the rear. And the pump itself must be inside the room, it will supply water under the roof of the structure, from where it will fall on the wire wheel. The wheel (with the help of the transitional mechanism from the grinder) will spin, propelling the blades mounted on it. The finishing touch is the formation of the ceiling and thatched roof.
