Six million people watched the first series of "Blood and Oil", which is very good. The audience of the second series was reduced by one million, and already the third and fourth episodes showed that viewers would be uninteresting to follow the developments. Therefore, the owners of "ABC" TV company dramatically reduced the number of ordered episodes to ten. In fact, this means the closing of the series, which will take place in early 2016.

Without waiting for them to go into negative, the producers of the series turned it down production. By that time, only ten episodes of the film were shot.
