All Novosibirsk train stations

Novosibirsk is a major industrial, commercial and scientific center of Russia, the third largest city in the country. And, of course, there are a lot of transport arteries, the key points of which are always the stations of Novosibirsk

It is sometimes difficult for a traveler to understand all the city transport links, so it is better to study in advance the location and purpose of the city's stations.

Station "Novosibirsk Main"

The main station of Novosibirsk, of course, is Chief. This name is carried by the station, from which all trains and electric trains of the city depart. Here in the XIX century, the construction of a local section of the Trans-Siberian Railway began. At the newly opened station "Ob" a wooden station building was built with mail, waiting rooms and a buffet. However, the flow of traffic at this station grew at such a rapid pace that soon both the station and the city were called Novonikolaevsk, which in 1926 was changed to Novosibirsk. So the modern station can be safely considered the starting point of the metropolis.

It is a beautiful majestic building with a triumphal arch, pilasters and a large attic. The walls and floor of the main lobby are faced with natural granite and marble, the construction of an area of almost 3 thousand square meters can accommodate up to 4 thousand passengers.

The important thing is that the metro station "Ploshchad im. Garin-Mikhailovsky ". It allows you to move around the whole metropolis, and also get to the left bank of the city called Novosibirsk.

The station and Tolmachevo airport connect two city bus routes - 111 and 312. Stop looking for the opposite side of the station area.

Other railway stations in Novosibirsk

In addition to the station "Novosibirsk Main", in the city there are three more large railway nodes, called railway stations. It:

• "Novosibirsk South", is in the Oktyabrsky district;
• "Novosibirsk West", is located in the Leninsky district;
• "Novosibirsk East", is located in the Kalininsky district.

However, these stations in Novosibirsk are more interesting for residents of the city, since they are mostly stopped by suburban electric trains and freight trains.

Bus station

This is a station that can be reached by a variety of intercity bus routes. From the bus station every hour flights are sent to all over Siberia, and to nearby cities of neighboring Kazakhstan.

There is a bus station at the very beginning of the Red Avenue, however, despite the importance of this transport hub and to its central location, the state of the building leaves much to be desired. It has been under reconstruction for several years, but so far everything that has been done for passengers is more convenient aprons for planting.

There are several ways to get to the bus station from the main railway station of the city.

On a city bus or a fixed-route taxi, the road not at rush hour will take only 20 minutes. This is the most convenient way, but do not choose it in case of high traffic.

By metro to the station "Rechnoy Vokzal", from there by bus there is only one stop. This method is slightly longer, but it will work if there are traffic jams in the city.

The fastest way, however, the most unpopular one, is to come to the Novosibirsk Central train station, take the suburban train and drive just one station to the "Center" or "Right Ob" platforms. They are directly in front of the entrance to the bus station building.

Tolmachevo International Airport can be reached from the bus station by bus number 111.

River Station

It is rarely mentioned when the stations of Novosibirsk are listed. The river is still an important transport hub and one of the city's attractions.

It is here that the oldest bridge that connected the two banks of Novosibirsk originates. By the way, there is also an unusual monument to the first bridge - its span, left in memory of the past. By itself, the River Station is not so remarkable, but the embankment is good - it is long and wide, has long walks and to sweep along the Ob River on rollers or a bicycle. There is also an amusement park and a large modern Ferris wheel. And in winter the River Station is decorated with a large ice town.

As for the main purpose of the station, in the navigation season here motor ships and ferries run to nearby towns and islands. Naturally, you can make a pleasant river cruise on a tourist thermal boat or buy a tour of the Ob.
