Akulovsky water canal: description, fishing

MULTIMILLION Moscow is supplied with water with several canals and water pipes, because for a day its indigenous and newcomers spend almost 5 million cubic meters of water. Akulovsky Vodokanal is considered to be its largest supplier. This man-made hydroconstruction, fulfilling, it would seem, the most trivial task - to provide the capital with water, from the very moment of its design and up to the present days is accompanied by secrets and even some mysticism. Previously, people tried to bypass this place by the side; now, on the contrary, many people are eager to come here at any time of the year - to breathe fresh air, to admire nature. Let's take a small virtual walk to it.

Specifications

Akulovsky water canal, or, as it sounds officially, the Akulov hydroelectric complex, flows from the Uchinsk reservoir, named after the river Ucha (the tributary of the Klyazma). It is included in the hydraulic system of the channel. Moscow and consists not only of a water channel, but also of a whole complex of facilities that purify water, checking its purity and compliance with GOSTs, ditches, protecting the canal from surface drains, drains, level regulators and other important devices. Its length is not large, only 28 km, of which 18.7 km is laid on the surface, and 9.3 - in reinforced concrete huge pipes with a diameter of almost 3 meters. The throughput capacity of the entire hydrosystem is 18 cubic meters of water per second, than not every full river can boast. For the convenience of service, the entire length is divided into separate sections. It would seem that everything is envisaged here for the water to be delivered to Muscovites in the best possible way.

Nature in the territory of the hydroelectric complex

Residents of settlements, for which and around which the Akulovsky water canal passes - the Queen, Pushkino, Shchelkovo, Cherkizovo, even Mytishchi - are eager to get out to him on weekends to relax their soul and enjoy amazing views. This is a real paradise for athletes-runners, cyclists, mothers with wheelchairs, elderly couples who love leisurely walks. The waterworks is made in two, and in some sections even in three channels. The distance between them is several meters, that is, very small. The shores of the ground part are "dressed" in concrete, and the shape of the channel is made in the form of a trapezoid. In some places in the cracks of concrete broke through the grass, so now the banks represent a closer to the natural nature of the picture. There are completely abandoned plots, reminiscent of a natural stream rather than an important state facility Akulovskiy Vodokanal. The photo below captures one of them. The trajectory of the open part of the hydrosystem is laid along coniferous and deciduous areas of forest parks. An infinite number of flowers grow around, there are various shrubs. Dozens of birds nest in the trees, ducks and other waterfowl have noticed on the water surface of the canal more than once. In the forest zone, you can meet nimble squirrels and even moose.

Vodokanal Akulovsky: where is

To the north-east of Moscow is the Uchinskoe reservoir, which exists exclusively for supplying the capital with water. At the village of Prussy it smoothly passes into the Pyalovskoe reservoir. Approximately in this place begins the Akulovsky hydro-power unit, passes Manujino, crosses the Uchinsky forest park, touches the edge of the Pirogov forest-park massif, crosses the railroad. A branch in the area of the Chelyuskinsky station, Yaroslavl highway. All this time the well-known Akulovsky water canal passes through the pipes. Korolev (boundaries of the forbidden territory begin near this city) is conditionally divided by an underground hydro-construction into the old and new parts. Outside the city of astronauts the canal comes to the surface and flows peacefully near the Committee Forest, along the territory of Losiny Island, crosses the Schelkovskoye Highway and finishes its journey in the basin of the Eastern hydro-purifying station. He received his name from the village of Akulovo, flooded with the creation of the Uchi water reservoir. She had never had a relationship with predatory fish. They called her by the formerly popular in Russia male name Shark. To maintain the reservoir built a village in memory of the village also called Akulovo. It exists to this day.

Vodokanal Akulovsky: how to get

You can drive to this object by private car from Korolev, the village of Oboldino, Shchyolkovo. You can also get by public transport, such as an electric train. We must go to the platform Chelyuskinskaya. From here there are two routes. The first - along the. Etc. branch to pass before moving and to curtail on the road going along the channel. The second - go to the Chocolate lake, further to the southeast along the trails of the Chelyuskinsky forest to the canal (here it is underground).

Another option is to go from the Shchelkovskaya subway station by a 516 m bus or by buses Nos. 283, 396, 716, 447 and 338 to the stop "Vostochny Settlement", then 70 meters to the checkpoint and the barrier to walk and turn onto the trail into the forest. She will lead to the channel.

There is also such a variant of travel: take a shuttle bus 338 or 395, drive through the Eastern settlement and simply ask the driver to stop at the water canal.

Two words about the history of creation

Akulovsky water canal decided to build, because Moscow did not have enough water. In 1935, they worked out a plan for watering the capital, according to which a large water ring from the Klyazma reservoir through Mytishchi and other areas to the Moscow River, approximately at the location of the Southern Port, was to appear on the maps. For various reasons, this project was not fully implemented, but in a smaller version, namely from the Uchinsk reservoir to the Eastern (formerly Stalin) waterworks, was implemented. The channel was built in 1935 and commissioned in 1937. He was raised exclusively by the hands of prisoners of the Gulag. Only now the whole terrible truth about this grandiose construction has become known.

The secret that was hidden for more than half a century

Previously, few people thought about those whose efforts were built Akulovsky Vodokanal. In 1990, when the studies of Losiny Island were conducted, at last, memories of eyewitnesses of this building of the century were published. People said that the builders were called channelers. All of them, except for persons holding executive positions, were gulags, lived in barracks, worked from dark to dark in any weather, and died in the hundreds. Local residents have often stumbled upon an unnamed human remains sticking out of the earth. Under Stalin all those who came to work for the construction of the channel wrote a receipt about the non-disclosure of any, even the most insignificant information concerning the future of the hydroelectric complex. Violation of this receipt was punishable as a criminal offense.

Security now

The majority of existing man-made reservoirs for local residents are wonderful places of rest with camp sites, beaches, pioneer camps. Uchinskoe reservoir in this regard is special - it is not close to him (and more precisely, by 200 meters) to mere mortals, since the whole area around him is a security zone. Similarly, the situation is also with the waterworks built from it. The security zone of the Akulovskiy Vodokanal along its entire length also officially appears as a sanitary one, with a strict regime. In the open area, the channel can not be approached closer than 150, and near the pipes it is closer than 50 meters. In fact, where the channel is laid underground, you can move. The ban is valid only in the area of pumping stations. In the same place where the canal comes to the surface, the forbidden zone is preserved. For clarity, every few km there are security points and quite serious guards, with some of which you can negotiate and calmly pass to the path stretching along the canal. More responsible and unyielding guards require a pass and without him to step into the forbidden territory do not give.

Where to get the coveted pass?

We have long noticed an interesting pattern in the country - only a ban is announced, and organizations (public and private) appear right away magically, giving the right to bypass this prohibition. The Akulovsky water canal is no exception. Passage to its forbidden zones can be issued (of course, not free of charge) to all comers, including truck owners, for example old ZILs, with noisy and roar on legitimate grounds rushing through the area of the protected zones of Losiny Island. It is known to all Muscovites and not only to them, it is a national park with its own biobalance, and, of course, no types of motor transport preserve it, but is it so important for those who need to get out of the traffic jams on Shchelkovskoe! And on the road along the canal there are no congestion, no traffic lights, the main thing is to have permission. You can get it for a year or more in the administration of the Akulovskiy hydroelectric complex (the "Office of Passes" department) or the online manager. It is said that there are a lot of ads with tear-off phone numbers in the pass office and in the main office, where they propose to solve the issue with a pass without problems.

Fishing on the canal

There are many stories about fish abundance, which is hidden in its waters Akulovsky water canal, but the information in them does not match. Some say that there are a lot of fish in the canal, and you can catch on the spinning pike, perches weighing more than 700 grams, roach, bream, carp. Others believe that, on the contrary, there is little or no fish there, because pumps pump water. But in any case, a special permit is required for fishing in the Akulov hydroelectric complex. Seldom to whom "luck", and the guards of the territory are not interested, than people with fishing rods on an important strategic facility are engaged. More often than not, fishing there can lead to considerable trouble.

Reviews

It is good that near Moscow there are such natural objects as Losiny Island, Akulovsky Vodokanal and others. To the townspeople who spend most of their life in the concrete forest, it is very important to preserve such corners where one can at least enjoy unity with nature every day. Advantages of the water canal are as follows:

-a reliable and safe source of water;

-a handsome beautiful object, giving so much pleasure from walks near it to both adults and children;

-Excellent cycle path in the summer and ski tracks in winter along the canal;

-guard, which does not allow to turn this corner of the native land into a dump.

Disadvantages, noted by citizens, are, rather, not to the channel, but to what is going on around him:

For some and permission for other driving in cars along the canal;

-confidence with badges, which you can get all in a row, just to pay.
