Airlines of Ukraine (list). Active airlines

Airlines of Ukraine (the list will be presented in the article) weekly carry out a huge number of regular flights to all continents. Carriers are constantly evolving so that passengers feel comfortable and caring.

How many airlines are registered in the country?

As of June 1, 2016, 77 airlines were registered in Ukraine. If you analyze the list, then not all legal entities are Ukrainian airlines. The list includes educational institutions (the State Flight Academy of Ukraine in the city of Kirovograd), state-owned enterprises from the aircraft manufacturing industry (State Enterprise Antonov, Motor Sich JSC), flight clubs that do not perform regular flights (Kharkiv Aerial Club named after Grizodubova). Really carry out the transportation of passengers of about 10 companies. The largest airlines of Ukraine - "International Airlines of Ukraine", "Aerosvit" and "Dniproavia".

Flights UIA

This carrier produces both international and domestic flights in Ukraine. The company delivers passengers from Kiev ( Borispol airport ) to Ivano-Frankivsk, Lviv, Dnepropetrovsk, Odessa, Kharkov). Flights to these cities are carried out almost daily 2-3 times. Air travel has one great advantage, compared to traveling by train or bus - efficiency. The fact is that the average duration of flight to each of the cities of the country does not exceed 70-80 minutes, and the trip by land transport will take at least 7-8 hours, and even more. The flight will cost the passenger, of course, several times more expensive, but this is not a factor for those people who are not interested in price, but in comfort and efficiency.

The airline "MAU-Ukraine" organized flights to all continents. The most popular routes for passengers today are Kiev-Western Europe, Kiev-Middle East and Kiev-CIS. The company is constantly evolving. For example, in 2013 new flights were introduced to Moscow, St. Petersburg, Athens, Baku, Vilnius, Warsaw, Nizhnevartovsk, Ekaterinburg, Munich, Novosibirsk, Rostov, Sochi. From Boryspil you can get direct flights to almost every European capital. In addition, UIA performs a number of routes to the world's largest hub airports for passengers on other flights.

Air company "Dnepravia"

The carrier from Dnepropetrovsk is currently considered the second largest flight company in the country. In early 2013, the company experienced a difficult time, when all regular flights were closed, but with the improvement of the situation the transportation was gradually resumed. First, the company "Dnepravia" returned to the transport market two domestic flights: Dnepropetrovsk-Borispol and Borispol-Ivano-Frankivsk. The first flights on these routes were made on February 7, 2013. Gradually the company again was able to expand the geography of its flights. A year later, in 2014, the flights of "Dniproavia" could be reached in Dubai, Yerevan, Baku, Batumi, Moscow, Tbilisi, Vienna, Istanbul.

The most optimal directions:

  • The capital of the CIS countries;
  • Popular tourist destinations;
  • Domestic flights to Kiev, Ivano-Frankivsk.

Liquidated airlines of Ukraine (list)

Today, air travel is not a very profitable business, because airplane tickets are expensive and not all citizens of Ukraine are able to pay for the flight. Therefore, only a few airports are enough for the country, which will provide flights abroad and some domestic flights. In recent years several airlines have been liquidated in Ukraine:

  • "Lviv Airlines";
  • "Ukrainian Airlines";
  • "Wizz Air Ukraine Airlines";
  • "Aerosvit".

Of course, this is not a complete list of liquidated airlines in Ukraine.

"Lviv Airlines" was established in 1993. It was a regional airline, which was based in Lviv. Due to the unprofitable nature of the flights in 2011, the company withdrew from the air transportation market.

The company "Wizz Air Ukraine Airlines" as a subsidiary of the Hungarian carrier existed from 2008 to 2015. Was liquidated due to administrative restructuring in the parent company.

The company "Aerosvit" worked in the market of passenger air transportation for a long time (from 1994 to 2012). Bankruptcy became the reason for the termination of activities. Almost for this reason, the state company of Ukrainian Airlines stopped working.

At the moment, the air transportation market in Ukraine is in a state of deep crisis, so the number of carriers is rapidly decreasing. Airlines of Ukraine (the list is listed above), despite the difficult situation, are trying to develop and offer their clients better flight conditions.
