The historical drama "The Nine Lives of Nestor Makhno"

In 2006, for Derevyanko came the "high point" - he was entrusted with the main, and a serious dramatic role in the series "Nine Lives of Nestor Makhno." Pavel Derevyanko, who was previously known as a first-class comedian, got out into the country and proved to everyone that he is able to play different characters.

Nestor Makhno in the performance of Paul was extremely natural, truthful, evoking human sympathy and at the same time admiration. Despite the fact that Makhno was considered an anarchist, Derevyanko managed to show the main thing - that this man was endowed with outstanding leadership qualities and strength of mind, which is worthy of respect.

Director Nikolai Kaptan was very risky, trusting a similar role to the formed actor-comedian, but his trust was justified: the audience warmly received both the series and Derevianko himself in the role of Nestor Makhno. The film "Rzhevsky against Napoleon" can rightly be considered a satirical comedy and a comedy of absurdity at the same time. The director of the picture was made by Marius Weisberg, who is known to film enthusiasts for the franchise "Love in the Big City", "8 new dates" and many other youth comedies.

Pavel Derevianko again shone in the main role - Lieutenant Rzhevsky, who is sent to the formidable Napoleon (Vladimir Zelensky) as a disguised lady in order to seduce and neutralize a dangerous enemy. Apparently, the plot is filled with absurd situations and some kind of phantasmagoria. In this comedy everything is upside down, everything is turned upside down. And it is this that makes the audience laugh loudly throughout the whole picture. By the way, Derevianko again had the opportunity to dress up as a woman, which he did very funny.

As a result, the film caused a real sensation, but did not pay off at the box office.
