The fate of the actress in those years, many recalled in the Western press. Fedorova spent many years in prison only because she had the imprudence to strike up a love affair with a US citizen named Jackson Tate. To annihilate the jubilee of the general secretary did not become an unpleasant news. The murder of the actress in the Soviet press was not said a word. The crime has not yet been solved.

Star of Soviet cinema

Fateful encounter

Zoya Fedorova and Jackson Tate met during an official reception at Molotov. The actress had already been married by that time. However, there was no love in her life. Perhaps the presence at the ill-fated reception was not accidental. There is an assumption that the actress was recruited by NKVD officers. She attracted the attention of foreigners, she could arrange for frank conversations. But Fedorova was not only a famous actress, but also an ordinary woman. That's why, when I saw a tall, handsome officer, I completely forgot about my appointment at an official diplomatic evening.

Their romance lasted just over two months. One of the May days, the actress was suddenly sent on a tour of the Crimean coast. When she returned to Moscow, Tate was no more: he was declared persona non grata and as a consequence - forced to leave the country in a matter of days.

Several months passed. Fedorova married her compatriot - musician Alexander Ryazanov. Soon a young child was born in a young family. This marriage actress tried to hide the consequences of relations with a foreigner. Jackson Tate - the father of Victoria Fedorova - that in 1946 he had a child in the Soviet Union, he only learned in the seventies.

Arrest

No matter how the actress tried to hide the name of her child's father, everyone knew about her connection with foreigners. A fictitious marriage with Ryazanov, who, at the risk of his career, tried to save her, did not save him from arrest. Later that night a knock sounded at the door, demanding, persistent. Whoever is knocking at such a late hour, everyone knew. Fedorova opened the door, saw people in a leather coat and heard the wild word "arrest".

She was not given the chance to say goodbye to her daughter, who was only a few months old. Zoya Fedorov - a famous actress, the pride of Soviet cinema - a few days tortured in the dungeons of the Lubyanka. She was thirty-seven years old. Behind the back of the actress - twenty roles played in the cinema, the love of fans, quite comfortable by Soviet standards, life. She was not one of the staunch and hardy characters in the books of Shalamov or Solzhenitsyn. So she confessed to all the crimes in which she was accused. And then, in solitary confinement, she made an attempt to commit suicide.

Daughter

After the brutal beatings, the once brilliant actress woke up in a prison hospital and learned of the verdict: twenty-five years of camps. Sister Fedorova was sent along with her daughter Victoria to a lifelong exile. Another relative was sentenced to ten years. All of them, including one-year-old child, were accused of espionage.

But in 1955, the actress was released under an amnesty. Then she saw her daughter for the first time in many years. Victoria did not know that the woman who so vehemently embraces her is a mother. So, to Zoe's question about whether the girl knows who she is, she said: "You are my aunt."

Victoria after school entered the theater high school. Became, like her mother, an actress. The director of the picture, in which Victoria debuted, claims that the character of this girl lived forever has left an indelible, painful imprint.

In the late sixties Victoria managed to leave for the USA and meet her father. Admiral Jackson Tate passed away in 1978. After his death, Victoria published a biographical book in which she reflected all that she and her mother had to endure.

The murder of Zoe Fedorova

In December 1981, the actress was killed in her own apartment. According to one of the versions, Fedorova was involved in the affairs of the so-called diamond mafia. Investigators found in the apartment a murdered situation, clearly indicating a speedy departure. Indeed, the actress was going to leave the Soviet Union forever. In the West, Fedorova was extremely famous. Her name was regularly covered in the American press as the name of one of the victims of Stalinism.

The investigation progressed slowly. But the staff of the MUR did not manage to solve the case. In a recent interview, Victoria Fedorova said that she knows the name of the killer. She died in 2012, without giving his name.
