How to Laminate the Laminate

It is no longer necessary to talk about how expensive repairs are today. This is well known to everyone, and therefore many of us are trying to save at least something during the repair - at work or construction materials. As for construction materials, this option of saving does not always justify itself, because at the same time the qualitative aspect of repair suffers significantly. And here are some types of work that do not require the presence of obvious professional skills, the home master is quite able to perform himself, with their own hands. That's why many craftsmen are often interested in how to lay the laminate on their own, rightly considering this process not too complicated and tedious.

Indeed, it is easy to work with a laminated board, because the manufacturer took care in advance that the laying process should be as simple and qualitative as possible. Naturally, during the work will have to adhere to certain rules and regulations, so it is desirable to have at hand a detailed instruction on what nuances must be paid attention in the first place and how to lay the laminate correctly.

So, you have decided on the color of the future floor and even have already purchased a laminate. By the way, when buying a laminated board it is necessary to take into account the presence of a certain amount of waste, so it is better to purchase material per square meter more than required by the area of the room. Before laying a laminate, you must first carefully prepare the floor. When laying this wonderful flooring is not required to do the screed or do other voluminous work, it is enough to get rid of the bumps and swings. Therefore, the concrete coating can be adjusted only in those places where there are significant flaws, on wooden floors it is enough to walk along the unevenness with a grinding machine.

Laying should start from the wall that is visible when entering the room. Before laying a laminate, you must post on the floor a pre-purchased substrate. The entire room should not be lined with a substrate, because it will greatly interfere with the work. It is enough to stretch one row, and then add as necessary.

The first row of laminate is laid along the selected wall, the boards are fastened with the end side. In order for the laminate boards to perfectly fit together, they must be fitted with a special rubber hammer. The last board (if there is such a need) must be cut - remove the excess. When trimming it is very convenient to use an electric jigsaw, but if it does not, then you can use an ordinary hacksaw. Then the first row of laminate is tightly pressed against the wall, and on each side the stoppers are inserted from each side (for this purpose the scraps of the laminate are perfectly suitable). The gap between the wall and the board should be at least a centimeter.

How to lay laminate in the second row? The second row should start not with the whole board, but with the halves. It is possible - for the sake of economy - to start with pruning, which remained from the first row, if its dimensions are not too small. The next band starts again with a whole board. And so on, in staggered order, to the end of the room. If gaps appear between the laminate boards during the laying process, they are fitted with the same rubber hammer. In order not to damage the grooves of the laminate, it is advisable to place a small wooden block under the hammer .

Do not forget that there must be a small distance between the wall and the laminate floor. Therefore, pegs-delimiters must be inserted not only in the first row, but along the entire perimeter of the room.

Here, perhaps, and all the answers to simple questions about how to lay the laminate yourself, without resorting to the help of professional professionals.
