Zoning the room is an effective design

Unfortunately a large number of people, they are owners of not enough spacious housing. So, quite often a family of several people lives in a small two or three-room apartment. What to do if the housing has a small area, and the appointment of rooms have to be combined? In this case, long used by interior designers reception - zoning. It allows you to visually increase the area of the room, create comfortable conditions with complementary functionality.

There are a number of options in which the zoning of the room allows you to combine a variety of purposes of the room: kitchen-dining room, living room-bedroom, entrance-living room, bedroom-cabinet, children's bedroom, children's room for children of opposite sex, etc. Before you start Zoning, it is necessary to clearly define the functional purpose of each part of the premises. There are a number of ways in which you can divide the room space. Most of them require a certain redevelopment and significant financial resources, but some, so-called visual, allow you to do without large costs and are available to almost everyone.

One of the most popular visual methods is the zoning of the room with wallpaper, various types of renders or paints of different colors and textures. It is the least expensive, but very effective. Zoning the children's room, thus, many designers consider the most optimal, because it allows you to allocate in it different zones (games, recreation, study) and quickly change the color of surfaces depending on the age and sex of the child.

Another effective way of dividing rooms into zones is the use of different materials, types and colors of floor coverings. For a more precise separation of zones within a room, various floor heights are often used. Its lifting can be performed both in straight lines, and in a graceful curved line. So, very effectively looks the living room-bedroom, in which the sleeper is elevated in relation to the living room area and beautifully draped with a cloth. Often under such a sleeping place, capacious boxes for bed linen are arranged.

A very impressive move - the continuation of the division not only on the floor, but also on the walls and ceiling. In this way, the different zones of the room are clearly defined, especially if this technique is enhanced by a different color gamut of surfaces.

If the room is spacious enough and light, you can apply the reception of space separation using racks, shelves from different materials or decorative walls. The main thing in this case is that such a partition does not interfere with the penetration of sufficient sunlight deep into the room. Usually such racks do not have a back wall. They are not too loaded with various objects, as they play a decorative role rather than a functional one.

Now, many designers have become more used textile, which has always been considered an excellent way of zoning rooms. With the help of fabrics of various textures, it is possible to veil or, on the contrary, emphasize different zones. Zoning rooms are made using decorative curtains or curtains, made of a variety of materials.

One of the most ancient means of dividing rooms into zones is decorative screens. A large number of screens are available for sale in a variety of styles.

Also do not forget that the zoning of the room can be done with different furniture. So, the zones can be separated from each other by a sofa, armchairs, table or wardrobe, as well as other interior items.

An important role in the zoning of modern interiors is played by a variety of lighting. When using different types of lighting equipment for different zones, a remarkable visual effect is created.

Large rooms can be divided by sliding partitions (as in the closets). With this division it is possible to achieve not only visual, but also acoustic isolation of the zones. In spacious rooms often use fixed partitions, which, as a rule, are made of plasterboard. They can be of different heights.

When choosing the zoning method, you should take into account the area and outline of the room, the height of the walls, the number and shape of doors and windows.
