ZIL-433362 KO-520: description and technical data

The ZIL-433362 is an updated family of classic trucks. Trucks were produced serially from 2003 to 2016. The assembly was carried out at the Likhachev plant in Moscow. This model is a multifunctional chassis. It was installed different equipment. In particular, these are the road service vehicles ZDL-433362 and the cranes of the AGP.

External Features

The ZIL-4331 model was used as a basis, which was mass-produced since 1987. The design of the cabin of the ZIL-433362 KO-520 was not changed. Here we still use a narrow square grille, pronounced wings and a metal bumper.

By the way, the optics was replaced from a square to a round one. Also in the upper part of the bonnet there was a cutout for air intake. The windshield is made of steel with three wipers of wireframe type. Lateral mirrors of the increased area, are taken out from a cabin on metal meadows. On the roof of the sanitizer KO-520 there is a yellow flashing light. But on modifications with a crane (ZIL-433362 AGP) this is not. In the rest the cabin was identical to the ZIL of the 4331th model.

Ground clearance, overall dimensions

The chassis of the ZIL-433362 KO-520 was unified with ZIL-4331. So, the length of the car is 6.62 meters, width - 2.42 meters, height - 2.81 meters. The car has a good reserve of ground clearance. The distance from the bottom point of the suspension to the asphalt is 23 centimeters.

Cabin

The interior design is rather ascetic. The cabin has much in common with the 3307 GAZ. So, here too, a flat instrument panel with round scales, a thin two-spoke steering wheel and flat door cards are used. Pedals in the truck are made of metal and are located high relative to the floor. This gives some inconvenience in management. The cabin is designed for two people.

In the car there is no air conditioning, ABS and other modern systems. The cabin in the truck has not changed since 1987. The gear lever is located in the floor and is plugged directly into the box. But even with such a design, drivers have difficulty in enabling the required speed. The switching circuit is fuzzy, and this is the lack of all ZILs of that time.

Specifications

Under the hood of the car is a petrol V-engine of its own production (ZIL-508.1). The unit is equipped with a two-chamber carburetor and has a working volume of 6 liters. The maximum engine power is 150 horsepower. The unit is deformed - the compression ratio is 7 atmospheres. This allows the machine to run on gasoline with the lowest octane number (up to A-72). The maximum torque is 402 Nm. The volume of the tank is 170 liters. The range of the car is from 400 to 700 kilometers. Depending on the operating mode, fuel consumption is from 25 to 33 liters per 100 kilometers.

But since the ZIL-433362 KO-520 is used primarily in the city, the indicator rarely falls below 30 liters. High flow is the main drawback of the model. In this regard, last year it was decided to stop the serial production of this car.

Transmission

ZIL-433362 KO-520 is equipped with a 5-speed manual gearbox. Unlike the 130th ZIL and its modifications, this transmission is equipped with synchronizers. True, they are not available on all programs. Synchronizers are absent at the first and back speeds.

Characteristics of the tank

The truck ZIL-433362 is equipped with a vacuum tanker KO-520, due to which it has such a marking. This vacuum machine is used in the communal economy. The tank is designed for removal of sewage and cleaning of cesspools. In addition to the tank itself, the ZIL-433362 KO-520 uses a vacuum pump with additional electrical equipment. So, at one time the car can pump out up to five thousand liters of sewage.

The tank at the place of disposal is emptied by gravity. However, it is also possible to use a vacuum pump in the "reverse" mode to generate additional pressure. The machine is capable of pumping out sewage at a depth of up to four meters. Periodically it is recommended to wash the inside of the tank of sewage, aggressive to metal surfaces.

Cost

At the moment the car is only available in the secondary market. The cost of a vacuum machine is about 500 thousand rubles (750 thousand for a model in 2016). More expensive - modifications with auto hydraulic lift (ZIL AGP). Their cost is about 900 thousand rubles. But simple vans and tilt modifications cost about 90-180 thousand.
