Wright brothers. Evolution of the Original Thoughts.

Americans Wilber and Orville Wright, undoubtedly, made a huge contribution to the development of aircraft and aerodynamics. Two brothers, whose life circumstances and abilities of joint rational thinking pushed them to create a brilliant breakthrough, forever left their names in the history of technology and science. But the opportunity to show their genius to them did not come immediately. For a long time they worked in their shop - a workshop where they sold and repaired bicycles (including their own brand), printed presses, engines and many other technical mechanisms.

In their spare time, the brothers loved reading the works of various aeronautical experts, such as Otto Lilienthal, Octave Shanut, Samuel Pierport Langley, and many others who, as it turned out, inspired Wilbur Wright to the original thought that was. After a long observation of the flights of birds, he put forward a brilliant in its simplicity hypothesis: "Is it possible to materially simulate the forces that birds use when flying, changing only the position of the wings, without using muscles?". Like any other hypothesis, she needed proof. At that time, there were a lot of enthusiasts, the so-called pioneers of aviation, who tried to recreate such models of aircraft for flight. Especially Wilbert inspired the death of Otto Lilienthal, whose glider turned a sudden gust of wind and drove into the ground with his nose, breaking Lilienthal's spine. Lilienthal's death words: "Victims are unavoidable," made Wright's thought evolve in a direction from take-off to the ability to skilfully control an aircraft with maximum safety for the pilot.

Their experiments began with the earth, creating various models of kites and other items, mostly from paper. Further, their work at the Wright Cycle Exchange workshop provided the necessary technical parts and skills for aircraft design attempts. Each time, the Wrights developed their ideas more and more until the first drawings of the original aircraft were prepared, based on the method of the three axes of rotation of the aircraft, which, incidentally, is still used today. At that time, there were already prototypes of steam engines, but their use in the form of engines was impossible due to their heavy weight. But Wilber and Owil's ability to work as one system, brought the evolution of their thought to the creation of a special propeller and a small fuel engine that was much smaller than the then known engines, but was not inferior in power to them (about 8 horsepower).

The historical date was December 17, 1903. In the city of Kitty Hawk, on the so-called Outer Shores in North Carolina, the original idea of the Wright Brothers after more than four years of evolution finally found its embodiment in the form of an aircraft. Every detail the cars made by themselves. Invented by them, the same light gasoline engine was associated with two propellers of bicycle chains. In the air, the car was controlled by a cloth covered by a wing and a tail steering. The steering wheel installed in the bow was used to control the pitch angle.

On this day to prepare the device, helped Wright local rescuers. They called the flying machine "Letunom". One of them, John Daniels, was instructed to photograph "Letuna" in the process of exploitation. Orville flew first, Wilber remained with a stopwatch. This first 12 seconds flight struck the Wright brothers so much that Wilber forgot to stop the stopwatch and Orvil was so surprised that he forgot to stop the propeller, but Daniels did everything he needed and his first photo taken in life became one of the most famous in the world History of aviation. Wright's car took off! The next flights were 52 and 60 meters long with a height of about three meters above ground level.

On the same day, the brothers sent the following telegram to their father, the bishop of the Evangelical Church: "The success of the first 4 flights on Thursday morning is all against the wind. 21 miles average air speed 31 miles longest 57 seconds inform the press of the house of a happy Christmas." When the telegraph operator asked if he could deliver the news to a friend who works in a local newspaper, the Wright brothers refused, they wanted the news of their flight to depart from their native Dayton. But the telegraph operator, still ignoring the ban, served as a leak of information. And soon, his friend, journalist-loser E. Moore, in desperate search for a unique topic for the article, printed a 99% distorted article that saved his career.

Thus, the Wright Brothers showed by their example the power of human thought and its realization in a global modified form.
