The average speed of a two-wheeled horse and its role is to make the vacation enjoyable

"You can not embrace the immensity," wrote the Russian classic. These words become more relevant than ever when we go on vacation and plan our itinerary. How I want to see everything. And especially if you got to Europe and got a Schengen visa for a certain period with a single entry. Having got into this or that tourist city, we see tourists who rush like mad, with a map and a guide in their hands, putting in them "ticks" opposite the sights where they visited. But the average pedestrian speed is still four kilometers per hour. You can, of course, podnapryachsya and go on a trot and even on a half-halo, having developed a speed of up to 7 km per hour, but what will you have in memory? By the evening, you will feel yourself pounded by a horse at the racetrack, and in the history there will be only "ticks" in the guidebook.

You can give yourself the acceleration by taking as a helper a two-wheeled friend, because the average speed of a cyclist is much higher than the speed of a pedestrian - 25-30 kilometers per hour. These figures are given taking into account that you drive on a smooth road with a smooth covering, without luggage, without intense traffic on the street, you are young and healthy. If one of these conditions falls, the speed of movement immediately drops to 15 kilometers per hour. Therefore, if you are going on a bike trip, it is best to proceed in your calculations from the last figure.

If you are an inexperienced rider, a one-day bike ride in nature is suitable as a test of strength. Choose a populated area for it, where the distances between the points where people live (which, if they can, help you) would not be more than a couple of kilometers. Do not be zealous, pushing the pedals: let your average speed be 10-15 kilometers - until the evening you still have time to go home. After the first attempt, you can make a brave outing somewhere in the vicinity (to the lake or the river, to the nearest interesting town), taking with them a small baggage. This can be a backpack or saddlebag, a fishing pole or a basket. Try to ride on the primer, choose for your journey a hilly terrain. Recognize the time spent on the road, and on the map, check the mileage to find out how fast you were on average.

Having carried out such tests and strengthening their skills to twist the pedals, you can already seriously dream of multi-day cycling routes. It is best to elect a country for such a tour, where people who are moving on two-wheeled vehicles are treated with respect. In Vietnam, for example, cyclists are much more than drivers of cars, therefore all street traffic is adapted "for them". But taxiing in the crowd is extremely difficult, and the average speed of the bike there will be no more than 10 km per hour. However, there are countries where the decision of a person to leave the car and go to an ecological mode of transport - a bicycle, causes the government's delight. In the USA, Canada and European countries, special bicycle paths are equipped, which (unlike our sad realities) are not allowed to be used by other participants of the movement. Even pedestrians do not have the right to visit them. The only obstacle in your way can be unless other cyclists. Ride to yourself and eat!

In many European cities, besides the paths, authorities offer to rent bicycles. Having a credit card, you can take a two-wheeled vehicle on the terminal, ride it where you need and leave it on a completely different terminal. Go to the museum, take a walk ... Then take the bicycle from the third terminal to leave it on the fourth. Very convenient: you do not need to worry about that your bike can be stolen, you do not need to spend money on city transport, and the average speed of a biker grows up compared to the speed of a pedestrian.

If cycling is your passion, you can go on a real trip with your trusted iron friend. A lot of travel agencies offer a variety of bike tours in Europe. The average speed of the participant of this campaign is the most gentle: about 15-20 km per hour. On the road, a guide on a bicycle shows you interesting places, your luggage follows you by car, and in the evening everyone is waiting for a hotel with a swimming pool where you can relieve the load from tired legs.
