Wireless router - freedom of movement

Today it is very difficult to find a person who does not use a computer, tablet, smartphone or other such devices. The technology of processing information flows has long ceased to be something unknown and incomprehensible. More and more popular in the modern world are devices that have the ability to wirelessly transmit data. The global Internet network is also becoming more widespread . To combine all these devices and allow them to connect to Internet resources, use a wireless router.

A router (router) is a special device that is used to combine various disparate information flows and to specify routes for their further navigation. A wireless router is a device with exactly this functionality, but has the additional ability to connect other designs via wireless data transmission technologies. Roughly speaking, the simplest device of this type takes a data packet, "understands" where it should be sent, writes an additional address and sends it to the next node (usually also a router).

Modern wireless routers, in addition to routing functions, also perform the function of protecting information from various external threats and attacks. In addition, by correctly tuning it, you can clearly regulate the order of access to the network and filter the connected devices for certain access attributes. A wireless router of a new design may have a traffic encryption function, which in turn will ensure reliable transmission of information that is not intended for third parties. All these abilities make it very popular and quite common.

An ordinary wireless router for the house looks like a small box. Connect it to the power adapter and one or more antennas designed to amplify the wireless signal. Also, an access point to the global network is attached to it. And it can be both wired (twisted pair, less often - optical patchcord), and wireless.

A home network through a wireless router is built by combining all the wireless computers within range of a wireless network to one point of access to the Internet. This greatly simplifies the process of simultaneous operation of the network, and also saves time and money in the absence of the need to lay cables around the room. The only thing that can greatly affect the performance of the device is the availability of too many devices connected to it. Therefore, this process must be strictly controlled. In case of exceeding the number of users, you need to install an additional wireless router or buy a model that has higher performance characteristics.

Individual models can provide the ability to connect to the printer's router, which will act as a network device in a public format for authorized users.
